I was curious to check out this show, having grown up with Dan Schneider and marveled at his weird staying power among 12-year-old girls. The idea seemed solid on paper: buddy comedy star Kel Mitchell of yesteryear teams up with fresh faces, then the games they make are released in app form so kids can bleed Nickelodeon 24/7. What could go wrong? Well, pretty much everything. This show is a frantic mess that can't go five minutes without somebody exploding, falling down, screaming at another character, or having an absurdly cartoonish overreaction lest any viewers accidentally get bored. The whole thing is terribly cobbled together, like the producer told the writers, "I want flashy gadgets, white people rapping, cute animals, and sentimentalism with the depth of a kiddie pool. GO!" The characters don't mesh at all, with each one spouting a few lines and then preening awkwardly for the camera. Cue explosion, laugh track, or anything else that covers up the fact that this show can't segue to save its life. Frankly that seems to be the biggest issue, is just a lack of any likable roles. What happened, Dan? iCarly, Kenan & Kel, Drake & Josh...sure, they weren't Masterpiece Theater, but their stars were enjoyable enough that fans wanted to keep up with them. Game Shakers is polluted with one flat, dull, irksome stereotype after another--where's the fun, or the surprise in that, or the desire to not throw the remote at the TV? This was the chance for a fresh start. The iCarly/Victorious/spin-off era is gone, new actors were hired, and this idea just sounded great. Instead it's the same old schtick, yet worse somehow, with another generation of tired gags for kid actors who don't even have the appeal or the comic timing of their predecessors. Granted the tween crowd has more forgiveness for dopey humor than I do, but a character can only fall down so many times before it stops being funny. Incredibly, this show has already reached that limit.
Dan's last sitcom to be produced for Nick...how does he end his trite ideas from here? Well, to start off while Henry Danger did not brought back any actors for their cast, Game Shakers was able to bring back a favorite from the 90s, Kel Mitchell himself. I was expecting to hate the show myself, but to my surprise I ended up liking it more than Henry Danger by a margin. Sure the concept is totally unoriginal but there one thing that keep it from being completely bad: Kel. Kel is an actor we all know and love back in the day so even in this show, his character is still as memorable as Ed from Good Burger. But like with most modern sitcoms for kids, you can see the usual flaws. First off, the acting once again is one of the weakest part of the show. Every kid actors just phone it in and their delivery are so flat compared to the likes of the past kid/teen actors from Schneider's pre-2012 shows. Then again the kids are much younger than the main actors from previous shows due to being preteen at the time the first season was airing. The characters themselves are also as memorable as a piece of paper. Ok, admittedly, the girls do have some personality (one a nerd and one a boy chaser), but the the two boys are just there. Triple G is the better boy while Hudson is just there, for comedic relief. And while he isn't too loud, all of his jokes are just unfunny. Yes he's the dumb blonde...a tired cliche. Again It's really pathetic that the best character in the show here is an adult. Double G saves the show from being worse than Henry Danger. while Kel does yells his lines too much it's funny and not in a contrived way. Just like with Henry Danger, Game Shakers first season was just mediocre. It was full with idiotic and predictable plots with abrupt ending and nothing else. While the show slowly improved it didn't get truly tolerable until season 3. Before you guy ask "but Felix what about the fact that Schneider is dragging it down?" While I won't deny that he gotten stale with his works, maybe it's his co-writers that make it tolerable rather than cliched and tiring. Now the references to his past shows are still there (there's even an episode about ICarly), but they aren't too in your face about when Victorious did it. The show did end in a cliffhanger and while that sucks to hear about that, it did marked an end of an era. After 25 good years, Dan Schneider was booted from Nickelodeon. Like I said before, he used to make such outstanding shows, but then he got too cocky and his works started to go downhill as a result. Scott Fellows May have been his single camera counterpart but he's not doing much lately. Either way I hope Nick's upcoming live action shows aren't as unbearable as pandering as Schneider's later shows. D
This series is ending, there will be no season four. On March 26, 2018 Nickelodeon announced that Game Shakers had been cancelled and will end after it's third season. It'll end with nearly 65 episodes.and the announcement came after the show had wrapped production on March 21, 2018.
Also the same day of the show's cancellation announcement, the show's creator Dan Schneider had parted ways with Nickelodeon. Since that happened what about the future of Henry Danger (another of Dan Scheider's creations).
Game Shakers will be the fourth series ending on Nickelodeon this year along with: the Thundermans, Nicky, Ricky, Dicky and Dawn, School of Rock

Game shakers suck.
Its not funny at all it made me chuckle sometimes but those times where really minimal.
The characters are really uninteresting and stereotypical except for Trip he is the least stereotypical.
Dan schneider just made a worse Icarly.
Don't watch this there is no point in seeing this

Everything about this show is just a recycled version of iCarly. Theres nothing to add, its just plain and boring
