On July 7, 2015, the cast and the logo of the series were announced.

In the episode MeGo the Freakish Robot - there is a Forrest Gump reference the main character is named "Tom" which is the first name of the man who plays Forrest Gump. Also before the scene cuts out, Tom speaks of how much his friend loves shrimp and that was Forrest's friend's passion.
