I might be Dana Vespoli's biggest fan, but in that regard feel compelled to criticize her various ill-advised projects. This series, pandering not to the GCD (greatest common denominator) but rather to the lowest common denominator is horrible, and volume two difficult to watch.
That's because Dana's oft-mentioned fondness for ass play in her private life is stubbornly integrated into her professional life in many of her Evil Angel releases. Not surprising, because her boss there is John Stagliano, the Buttman himself.
The four lengthy vignettes presented here are poorly acted and badly improvised, as Dana the director forgot to hire Vespoli the talented screenwriter. She appears in person as a meanie out to teach spoiled brat of a step-kid Jodi Taylor a lesson. Out comes Dana's trusty speculum, not for a vaginal exam but rather to spread Jodi's ass cheeks more for the benefit of auteur Dana than for the viewer. She abuses the talented young actress in several other ways, notably using multiple oversize dildos to stretch not only her backside but her mouth, oral play like suffocation not out of bounds of course in this gonzo, Daughters of Max Hardcore format.
I found it quaint if not touching that after a half hour or so of Ms. Taylor proving to her fans and the Adult Entertainment powers-that-be that she is a game trouper, willing to put her body through the wringer for a Stagliano pay check, the vignette and feature ends with the camera moving from Jodi's dumb grin to a closeup of a toilet as final image. Obviously Dana's statement to her audience, far from subtle.
The other annoying vignettes include: a literally cell phoned-in story of severe dom Mona Wales abusing Carter Cruise, though fans know that anal is Carter's favorite pastime. The forced-sex aspect of this episode is edgy, but hardly censorable given the content of BUttman's innumerable extreme content European-made videos from the likes of Rocco Siffredi and Nacho Vidal.
Puma Swede, whose face I had trouble recognizing post some plastic surgery, much preferring her 10 years earlier look, matches her huge fake tits against cute Bree Daniels' naturals in a rather clumsily improvised segment. It's also a forced-sex exercise with much emphasis on butt plugs, and clearly meant as Dana's answer to the wimpy-by- comparison Lesbian content provided by Evil Angel's competing labels, not just Girlfriends Films and Gamma Entertainment but Dana's other home away from home, Sweetheart Films. The auteur is no sweetheart here.
Remaining scene is notable only for wiping that usual smile off Cherie DeVille's face as she's cast against type as a meanie, a combination English teacher and step-mom to Dakota (here billed as Kota) Sky. Besides the old finger-in-anus ploy, Dana has formerly sweet old thing Cherie stick the ear piece of her glasses into Sky's rectum -anything to get a rise (or at least try to) out of a jaded porn audience. All that's missing from this video is a variation on the usual disclaimer regarding ASPCA rules, to wit: "No creativity or artistry was expended in the execution of this video."
