Give me storyline porn, but in a pinch a well-done XXX pantomime will do, as in the case of JoyBear's PEARL NECKLACE, a sexy bit of fluff right down to its deep décolletage DVD cover photo. Fans of Brit porn need apply.

Tiffany Doll is the delectable maid at the center of this interesting (if one-note) tale of a mean employer getting his just desserts. It would have made a great period piece, not necessarily Flemish as in Scalett Johansson's GIRL WITH A PEARL EARRING, but a Victorian setting. As is, nothing presented here has changed much since Queen Victoria's day, with the British class system firmly in place.

One odd touch derived from the JoyBear technique of avoiding dialog and using narration instead is that Doll is voiced, in narration of her tale and point-of-view by voice-over artist Elle Cornelius. As a result she isn't a French maid (which is what she appears to be) but becomes British in translation.

Stock villain Ryan Ryder is Lord of the manor, sexually abusing his female help, and firing poor Doll early on. She plots revenge in the form of stealing his priceless family heirloom of the title, and enlists the aid of the other servants to carry out the daring deed.

Jasmine Jae inevitably plays Lady of the manor, married to Ryder in real-life. Some outstanding sex scenes are delivered by the reliable usual suspects Cathy Heaven and Paige Turnah as fellow downstairs denizens, plus Lexi Lowe who later graduated to play the title role in the period porn piece DOWN ON ABBEY.

Excision of any dialog scenes speeds up the pace, and narration even memorably includes the line in the final reel "Time to wrap up", obviously truthful. JoyBear makes the most of this oddball reliance upon narration, very powerfully used in another quality feature ROSA.
