UK-based sales agent 101 Films International has added two projects to its slate ahead of the Cannes virtual market, including Mickey Rourke action thriller Take Back.
The film will commence principal photography on a five-week shoot in California in early July, produced by Mike Hatton for Ton Of Hats with 101 Films’ Andy Lyon and Michael Walker.
101 Films is executive producing the title with Head Gear Films.
Directed by Christian Sesma and written by Zach Zerries, it centres on a couple living the perfect small-town life when a mysterious stranger from the past kidnaps their daughter.

On of Nerdly’s favourite game producers Wales Interactive, alongside Good Gate Media, have today announced their latest Fmv title, Five Dates – a completely live-action, interactive romantic comedy for PC, PS4, Xbox One and Nintendo Switch.
The plot follows Vinny, a millennial from London, joins a dating app for the first time while living in lockdown. From a choice of five interested women, the player can control who Vinny video dates and how he interacts with their very different personalities. The interactive story unfolds in a multitude of different directions, each exploring whether compatibility, chemistry and connection are still possible in a world where physical touch is no longer an option.

Exclusive: Following the success of its debut interactive project The Complex, Cardiff-based producers Good Gate Media are heading into production on Five Dates, a fast-turnaround rom-com project that has been conceptualized and developed during lockdown.

A multi-team production, The Complex's story takes place after a chemical attack. Deep underground, a doctor struggles with a scientific secret. The Complex is a sci-fi interactive movie game from Wales Interactive and is available to “play” on the Nintendo Switch, Windows, MacOs, XBox One and PS4.
I’ve played games like this before, such as The Bunker, so I know the genre. It’s basically a movie in which you make the odd decision, taking the story into unique directions. This, while not especially open and diverse in the way it plays, does offer plenty of story roads that you can go down, and in turn offers some replayability. The Complex itself has numerous endings to unlock, all depending on what you choose to do as the story goes on.
Now, the story itself follows Dr Amy Tenent, who you make decisions for, who is locked in a lab in London with a fellow scientist and a bio-terrorist who is locked in a chamber and dying. It follows an outbreak,...

A trailer has been released for Georges Padey's Nereus. Formerly titled The Complex, this film takes place at an apartment and a swimming pool. Something lays beneath the waters as several characters discover. The film stars: Itziar Martinez, Dennis Mencia, Raul Walder and Natalie Blackman. A Flavor Land and Wol Entertainment production, the film is currently being repped by sales agent Devil Works. A preview of Nereus is hosted here. The synopsis talks of an "unearthly creature." Where has it come from? It is a mystery as this mystical monster pulls more and more characters under the water. Now, Sara (Martinez) is the next target. As well, a poster is available for the film. It shows Sara in the pool. Tentacles pull her down, into the greenish waters. There is no escape. And, more details on Nereus will be released once available, including a release date.
