The drug war on the U.S.-Mexico border has escalated as the cartels have begun trafficking terrorists across the US border. To fight the war, federal agent Matt Graver re-teams with the mercurial Alejandro.
Isabela Moner had to chop her long hair into a short pixie hairstyle for this film. The video of the haircut is on her YouTube channel. She donated the hair to charity.
You baby can hear? Different Worlds!
When Matt travels to recruit Alejandro, the establishing shot reads 'Bogota, Colombia'; however, the scene clearly takes place in 5 de Mayo street in downtown Mexico City. Besides characteristic buildings, there is a Vittorio Forti (A Mexican gentleman's clothes retailer) billboard, and another one, showing Palacio de Bellas Artes, a prominent cultural center located a few blocks away.
There's a dedication part-way though the end credits: "In loving memory of Jóhann Jóhannsson"
