A real tear-jerker. It's a certain special kind of movie that really grabs your emotions like 'The Christmas Note'. I have to admit I was blindsided by the deep feelings of intermingled sympathy and joy evoked in me throughout the story.
It starts off very soft and mellow, neighbors feeling sorry for the woman next door, because she seems so broken. They reach out to her, she is slightly cold, but that's only because of her pain. As the movie progresses, a perfectly executed mystery unfolds. Of course we all might suspect we know the answer to the riddle of who is the mystery person. If you guess correctly it probably means you aren't paying attention. That's right, if you pay attention to the details, you might get off track. The smoke and mirrors is effective, and the final reveal is totally unexpected.
Which leads us to the very conclusion, and oh what a wonderful ending. This is a beautifully illustrated story of friends, family, and what it means to go the extra mile. Nailed it.
