Netflix is now one of the most popular streaming websites all over the world. Containing a plethora of movies, TV shows, reality TV, and more, the streaming giant has made life easier for countless cinema buffs. But it is the binge-watchers who have greatly benefitted from the availability of sites like Netflix.

While it does not happen with every series, it is typical for the streaming giant to release all episodes or a bunch of episodes in one go. While many fans love this technique, Scott Pilgrim Takes Off creator recently lashed out on the platform for its dumb practice.

Two years after it premiered, one of our favorite shows of 2022, “The Outer Range” returns this summer (read our review). Something of an unusual but welcome mix of “Yellowstone” family drama and existential “X-Files” sci-fi, “Outer Range” star Josh Brolin as a rancher in Wyoming fighting for his land and his family, who discovers something unfathomable on its outskirts. Brolin also makes his directorial debut with season two’s penultimate episode
The mindbending series also features an outstanding cast including Imogen Poots (“Baltimore”), Lili Taylor (“Manhunt”), Tamara Podemski (“Reservation Dogs”), Lewis Pullman (“Top Gun: Maverick”), Tom Pelphrey (“Ozark”), Noah Reid (“Schitt’s Creek”), Shaun Sipos (“Reacher”), Isabel Arraiza (“The Little Things”), Olive Abercrombie (“The Haunting of Hill House”), and Will Patton (“Horizon: An American Saga”), among others.

From the idyllic coastlines of New England to the sunny Pacific coast, from the Jersey Shore to the Southern Gulf Shore, from Midwest prairie land to Southwest deserts and canyons — the United States offers a variety of cultures, climates and land masses that have provided the backdrops to some of the best television series of all time. We’ve set out to discover the best program set in each state, which brought about some surprises, some difficult decisions and a few no-brainers.
There are some states in which very few series have been set, and some stand out as the unsurprising winner, such as “Ozark” for Missouri or “Yellowstone” for Montana. However, there were a couple of instances in which we had very little to choose from. We planned to only include scripted series, but were surprised to find that Iowa has been home to very few , and those didn’t last long.

In a very unsettled drama Emmy field, one of the few ostensible locks this year is Elizabeth Debicki. With 4/1 odds, she is the runaway favorite to take home the Best Drama Supporting Actress Emmy for her turn as Princess Diana on “The Crown,” which would make the Netflix series the sixth show to deliver two different winners in the category.
Twelve shows have won drama supporting actress more than once. Of those, seven shows have had one person triumph repeatedly, including “Lou Grant” for Nancy Marchand, who won a record four times, and most recently “Ozark” for three-time champ Julia Garner. The five shows that saw the wealth spread among its cast members are “St. Elsewhere”, “The West Wing”, “Hill Street Blues”, “The Practice” and “thirtysomething”. No show has had more than two cast members win the award.
Interestingly, Marchand (1980-82; her first win was in ’78), Roberts (1983), Woodard (1984), Thomas (1985), Bartlett...

Brooklyn Nine-Nine alumna Melissa Fumero, AnnaSophia Robb (The Act) and Ben Rappaport (For the People) are set as leads in Grosse Pointe Garden Society, NBC’s drama pilot from Jenna Bans, Bill Krebs and Universal Television, a division of Universal Studio Group.
The drama follows four members of a suburban garden club — three of them played by Fumero, Robb and Rappaport — all from different walks of life, who get caught up in murder and mischief as they struggle to make their conventional lives bloom.
Fumero plays Birdie. Entitled, rich, swathed in Chanel, a smoker, a drinker, self-destructive at times, toxic at others, but not without real pain beneath her facade, Birdie is a successful author whose memoir, “Digging for Gold: Dancing Through Divorce,” is a bestseller.

Good crime dramas are supposed to be gripping—ones you cannot take your eyes off even for a minute. Several crime dramas are straightforward and do not take much time to set up the premise. Narcos, Bodyguard, Ozark, Mindhunter, Money Heist, Iron Reign, and Peaky Blinders are some of the original Netflix shows that explored various facets of the crime drama genre and presented great stories through them.
Crooks is a new addition to this genre on the streaming platform that talks about the workings of various criminal gangs around certain countries in Europe and how they are interconnected. Created by Marvin Krey, Crooks is a German Netflix original, released on April 4, 2024.
Crooks is eight episodes long, with each having a runtime of forty minutes to one hour. The show is all about a prized historical coin that was stolen from a museum in Berlin by the Al-Walid crime ring of the city.

Ozark actor Julia Garner has reportedly signed a deal to play Silver Surfer in Matt Shakman’s take on Marvel’s Fantastic Four.
For a long time, there were lots of questions about which four actors would be lined up to fill the iconic blue onesies worn by the Fantastic Four, Marvel’s family of superheroes due to make their MCU debut next summer. Matt Shakman, the mind behind Marvel Studios’ WandaVision is directing the project, which might just relaunch the MCU as ‘must watch’ moviegoing following two or three years where over-saturation and questionable levels of quality control have seen the films and TV shows dip in popularity.
Back in February that casting would be confirmed and much like the studio’s choice of director, there was a feeling of real promise regarding the actors that had been selected to embody one of Marvel’s most iconic set of characters.

After seemingly eons of rumours, Marvel recently finally unveiled its official cast for the new, MCU take on the Fantastic Four. And now we know who will be joining leads Pedro Pascal, Vanessa Kirby, Ebon Moss-Bachrach and Joseph Quinn in the cast. That person is Julia Garner, who will bring the Silver Surfer to life.
"But Empire," we hear some of you prepared to argue, "I think you'll find the Silver Surfer is Norrin Radd, as portrayed by Doug Jones in the 2007 Rise Of The Silver Surfer film." And you would be right… from a certain point of view. But comic book variants are many and, well, varied, and there is a character named Shalla-Bal, a woman who was a love interest for Radd, and ended up taking over the mantle of the Surfer.
What this means for the plot of the film remains to seen, though it could certainly...

Julia Garner is boarding Marvel’s The Fantastic Four, reportedly signing on to play the Silver Surfer.
According to Deadline, the Emmy-winning Ozark actor will portray a Shalla-Bal version of the classic cosmic comic character. In the original Marvel stories, Shalla-Bal is the lover of Norrin Radd. When the planet-consuming Galactus threatens to devour their home of Zenn-La, Radd offers his servitude as Galactus’ herald, becoming the Silver Surfer in exchange for saving his world — and his lover.
While there are stories in which Silver Surfer shares his Power Cosmic with Shalla-Bal, she never actually carries the Silver Surfer title or appearance. At least not in the main Marvel timeline; fans will recall the alternate reality series Earth-x, where both Radd and Shalla-Bal share the name, look, and powers of Silver Surfer.
Regardless, it seems Shalla-Bal will be the one surfing the skies in silver for The Fantastic Four, and...

Selena Gomez has seen her “Only Murders in the Building” co-stars and guest stars get nominated for and win Emmys the past two years while she sat on the sidelines. Will the third time finally be the charm? She’s currently in fifth place in the Best Comedy Actress odds. Given her previous snubs, you’d be justified to doubt her chances, but we’ve been through this before with a twice snubbed actress-singer who pulled through on her third try under very similar circumstances: Mandy Moore.
“This Is Us” was a breakout hit when it premiered in 2016 on NBC. In 2017, it earned 10 Emmy nominations for its freshman installment, including Best Drama Series and seven acting bids — but not for Moore in Best Drama Actress. It won two awards: Best Drama Actor for Sterling K. Brown, who prevailed over his TV dad Milo Ventimiglia, a surprise nominee, and Best Drama Guest Actor for Gerald McRaney,...

According to Deadline, Law & Order: Organized Crime, the most recent Law & Order spinoff, has not yet been renewed by its network, with discussions still being conducted. The show has had issues since it first started, going through multiple showrunners during its first four seasons.
