If you aren't a 15 year old girl you might not get it...

I had NO idea who Tyler Oakley was when I started watching this film because I assumed the film would explain that, which it sort of did, but not very well. I am sure this doc is great for fans of Tyler Oakley who want to know more about his personal life and journey to fame (which seemed to be mostly teen aged girls judging by those who attended his live shows). For those of us who don't live on Youtube we needed more scenes of what he actually does, not just a 5 second clip of him in a onesie doing some slap dance with his pal.

I actually found Tyler and his story interesting - he found a niche for his talent, and I am sure he will parlay that into an adult career when the YouTube bloom wears off, but the makers of this film underestimated who their audience could be in making this doc and should have shown what he does. I found some of his broadcasts on Youtube and in about three minutes figured

out what the hoopla was about - shame the film makers didn't do that.

An Insight Into A Famous Lifestyle

Tyler Oakley, among a few others who have achieved an extreme level of global success due to their YouTube careers, faces two reactions from members of the general public. Either they are a huge fan of Tyler and his work or they have no concept of what a YouTuber is; let alone who he is. Whichever of these categories you fall under, this film is a perfect insight into the truth of a lifestyle that people imagine to always run smoothly and flawlessly, without upset or disruptions. For a fan of Tyler, SNERVOUS shows the behind the scenes perspective of a sold-out international tour and just how much effort goes into each product, each tour or event appearance. Similarly, for people who might not understand the hype around YouTubers and the rise of Internet stars the film shows the intricate details of the effort that goes into an internet based career and how life is when dealing with such a new and unique form of fame.

I truly believe anyone could find enjoyment or entertainment within this movie and any viewer would certainly learn a lot about the complexity of a famous lifestyle, such as Tyler's. The movie perfectly illustrates the highs and lows of life as part of the LGBTQ+ community and life as an Internet celebrity, also highlighting how fan culture can be both so positive and negative depending on how people conduct themselves. I honestly adore this movie and know anyone else would, too.

Snervous was incredible

Honestly I was blown away by snervous. Having been a viewer for a while now, I felt such a connection to Tyler but this documentary only increased that feeling. Tyler let's you in on the ins and outs of YouTube fan culture, from incredible experiences to ones that make you reconsider everything you would do were you to see your favorite celebrity in public. It's honest, raw and heart touching as snervous explores the friendship between Korey and Tyler and the relationship between creator and viewer from the creator side. I would recommend it to anyone confused as to what a youtuber does and what their impact is, a YouTube fan or anyone looking for a funny but meaningful adventure.

Tyler is amazing. He's caring, supportive, and you can see how down to earth he is in this documentary. Snervous is awesome! We can see, besides Tyler's happy moments, the sad, frustrating ones, and because of this i felt a deep connection with Tyler. He's such an inspiration. This documentary made me feel like I've known Tyler for so much time! And I know him for, like, 4 years. Snervous is touching, honest, it is perfect. Tyler made a difference in my life, I'm more loving, positive because of him. Because his fans are his family, he really love us and support us, and we do the same for him. Snervous is one of the most amazing movies I've ever seen, and only not because I'm Tyler's fan, but because it shows how much a youtuber work. I recommend it for everyone, not only people who enjoy Youtube or people who enjoy Tyler's work. I think that everyone should watch it because it's amazing.

Ever since I first saw one of Tyler's videos a couple years ago I knew I immediately had a new obsession, and I still have it. (As cheesy as this is), Tyler is my inspiration, and without watching his videos, I wouldn't be who I am today, which is myself. Snervous is perfect, for someone who loves Tyler or hasn't even heard of him, I'd recommend it to them. I cried plenty of times, even at times I wasn't meant to, and it left me thinking about it all night, I actually had to watch it again because I missed it so much?? Overall, I'm so proud of Tyler and all he's done for his people..Get this whether you know him, or not. sLaY - Isaac

Tyler, once again, has made me laugh, giggle, cry a bit and all-in-all has made me or anyone else a better person. In "Snervous", he takes us along with him on his bumpy roads (watch your head) and his twists and turns of one of his famous Slumber Party Tours. Traveling with his best friend since they met in college, Korey Kuhl has been with Tyler since his YouTube channel started. Korey is like a life coach for Tyler.

I know everyone wants to laugh once in a while and if that's you, watch this movie. And if you're feeling really Tylerific (as they say) read his book. That's filled to the brim, too.

Definitely Worth It

This documentary really gives an amazing insight into the life of Tyler Oakley, youtuber, author and so many more things. Whether you're a fan or just want to get a little more insight into Tyler Oakley's life, this documentary will definitely teach you things you didn't know yet. This documentary proves anyone who says youtubers aren't hard workers wrong, and will make anyone, young or old, male, female or something else, fall in love with Tyler Oakley. Snervous will make you laugh and cry and will never fail to surprise you. If you are a person who finds themselves in the LGBTQ+ spectrum, this documentary will have some moments in it you will probably be able to relate to. For me, being a gay girl, it was so helpful to watch and it definitely made me realize that I'm not going through this on my own. We are all fighting our own battle. This documentary has it all, and I'm positive you won't regret watching it.

Tyler Oakley is an absolutely wonderful human being. He has inspired so many people in this world. Myself included. This documentary shows how much work Tyler puts into his work. Tyler is a role model for every person. There is not a better person to write a movie, i found this movie to be inspirational, funny, and very powerful. I recommend this film to anyone who wants to know more about Tyler, who is someone a lot of us love and care about. Tyler is an LGBTQ+ promoter of self- love, a YouTuber who puts out some funny content, a book writer, a blogger- and the biggest of all, a shameless self promoter. This is a WONDERFUL film. Even if you don't like documentaries, i would suggest that you give this one a try, you might learn a lot. Thank you Tyler for sharing your life with us.

A year in the life of the beautiful, hilarious, humble... Tyler Oakley

Everything. about the movie was amazing. I watched for the first time (yes I've watched more than once) at the premiere in LA. I was there with my mom so I was expecting her to be complaining but wen we walked out of the theater, she was in tears. She said the movie was amazing (and I agreed) and said that she wish she could meet Queen Jackie. Tyler Oakley is not only an amazing creator of amazing content, he is an amazing person all around. He truly cares about his people and I know all almost 8 million of us care about him just as much. This movie will make you laugh, cry, cheer, and make you wish you were at every stop of the slumber party tour. The best part is really getting to see what life for him is like behind a computer screen. Tyler, Korey, and everyone else are already so genuine, but seeing what really goes down will raise your level of respect and admiration for a large group of people. I'm so proud of everyone that worked on this movie, they all did such an amazing job. CONGRATS TYLER AND KOREY AND EVERYONE ELSE! Love you guys so much!💙

Inspirational, funny movie

This year has been Tyler Oakley's golden year with a book called binge to hosting the Streamy Awards and now a documentary. Tyler Oakley is such an inspiring human being who is so down to earth and you can learn so much about him by watching 1 of his videos but I have to say after watching Snervous and reading binge I feel like I've know him for 30years when I've actually known him for 4 years. Tyler Oakley is such an inspiration and this movie is inspiring and needs to be famous throughout the world. I cried and laughed while watching this movie and I'm sure you will too. Snervous is one of the best movies I've ever watched and I recommend it to anyone not just big Tyler Oakley fans just anyone.

Tyler is LITERALLY one of the most inspirational people of this time!! This documentary truly helps to show that if you be fully yourself, you can achieve anything and everything you put your mind to!! This documentary both made me both laugh and cry multiple times. It is really cool to see the behind the scenes of how his tour happens. It also gives you an insight to how it feels to be in the public eye. Tyler, you have come so far from dorm room videos all the way to videos for millions of people, it is absolutely AMAZING!! I truly cannot express how inspirational this documentary is, it helps me feel more confident in reaching my dreams someday!! He deserves the utmost congratulations on such an inspiring documentary!! Honestly, if you haven't see Snervous I feel bad for you. Tyler Oakley is such an amazing person. Every second with him is hilarious and entertaining. If you know Tyler at all, or have seen even one of his youtube videos or iconic tweets, you don't need to be persuaded to watch Snervous. If you don't know who Tyler, he is the most funny, charming, entertaining, caring guy on the internet. Also making frequent appearances is Tyler's best friend Korey. Korey is another guy who anyone could watch for ages. He's so kind, genuine, and funny. Watching Tyler and Korey's friendship on screen, you can see how well they compliment each other. Truly a dynamic duo. tl,dr: Getting to spend 80 minutes following Tyler Oakley's life is such a gift. Just watch Snervous. Now.
