The endless series "Perverted Stories" stands as pornographer Jim Powers' greatest triumph, among the most creative short-story porn works made. But this attempt to cash in on current crypto-incest and jail-bait trends is terrible.
Title turns out not to be a story but 4 vignettes that play as carbon copies of each other. Clearly that's to feed the immense maw of short subjects suitable for streaming that have replaced movies in the porn universe lately.
Formula is distressingly boring and repetitive: a sweet young thing receives a fat engagement ring from daddy, who's planning to abandon her mommy, dissolve the marriage and run off with the kid. It's content only Woody Allen could love.
That the four young actresses are appealing only makes the overall failure hurt more - why not take talent and do something with it -that's what we laughingly call entertainment. But 21st Century pornographers habitually sign the hottest young stars and then humiliate them and their fans with low-grade, gonzo, sex by the numbers crap.
Of course, today's Number One star Riley Reid is victimized here, humping step-dad Steven St. Croix, with the "oh, daddy!" incest refrain as they have sex explaining the reason for this nonsense. Skye West is even prettier, but stuck humping Tommy Gunn in his motorcycle repair shop, an ugly backdrop that even gets mocked in the "Interviews" short subject on the DVD. Worst segment is Miranda Miller subjected to the no- talent Dick Chibbles, an audience insult if ever there was one.
