  • Good film, with an interesting plot. However, felt incomplete with a rather abrupt ending. Halston sage showed great diversity, as an actress, in this role and I look forward to more of her work.
  • What seemed to start as an interesting idea, developed thereafter into something almost boring. I like the plot, it's intriguing. But it misses some points. The cast should have played more with the script and others things to make it more enjoyable. It turned out to be fairly messy.
  • I'm not a regular viewer of the romcom genre. infact most of the time i avoid them like a plague. However, i'm not sure if the character Jed was just hot of a dead ringer for "the one that got away", but i went into this film blind and as soon as it established the romance story line i start getting that knotted in your stomach feeling. You know, that nauseous impatient gloomy feeling you might get when you suddenly realize you are watching with a group of people who are totally stoked for the story and watching it together, and you are the ONLY person that would rather watch paint dry. The wines been popped, everyone's committed to their resting place, curled up with a concoction of snacks between yourselves. And it's just "too late to bail now" kind of knotted feeling. well that started happening but, i kept on watch in'.and i was not disappointed. Conceptually a purposeful and satisfying film. Some of the time I wondered if the casting could've been tweaked because some of the performances were very stiff and awkward in the language. Like it was mist matched with their essence. Either that or the writing of the characters and their dialogue needed more heart and soul. It's just not how people speak to each other when they are connected to each other and emotionally present. Felt like a PSA in some spots. However I thought Nick Thule was cast well and had so much heart in his performance. Pouring out of his eyes in fact. Good job Nick!
  • I thought the film did a good job despite working around typical RomCom plots and cliché's. There was decent character development and arcs in addition to some realistic themes such as regretting the past and covering up insecurities. Those who just see it as a social media film are only looking at it at the absolute top layer.
  • Remember those old movies, where there were good guys and bad guys? yeah, this isn't one of them... every character is good, just misunderstood. but they all have good intentions, and/or they're fighting against past trauma.

social media comes out great, too. it's good to have a profile and "be yourself" on it. as much as possible.

it's an enjoyable film, but a bit too patronizing, and at times nauseating, if you think about it. its makers were perhaps hoping it'd get adopted by certain websites as a promotional tool. but it wasn't. boo-hoo.
  • What an absolute waste of my time. I should have known better from the synopsis. i couldn't work out what the message was. Being a Social media film, surely i was supposed to face a moral dilemma. Whoever funds these films please stop. Absolute nonsense.
  • Yes I am taking the mick in case the title misleads you.

Another hollow and tedious movie based around social media. Its a worn out thread already; pass me the recycle bin.

As boring, repetitive, time wasting and bereft of honesty as most of social media actually is in reality.

Watching this movie is as pointless and meaningless as posting your life on facebook, twitter and wasting hours of non-productive time arguing with people you dont even know and trying ever so hard to gain your portion of "confirmation" as they call it on social media. Don't get me wrong, I've been there myself but there is a time when you wake up and realise you are wasting your life and precious time on people you have never met and will never meet and that the whole thing is merely another distraction from the joys of actually living but movies like these try to hoodwink you into believing the hype!

The fact that they actually mention in the movie that over 3/4's of the USA never read a book last year says it all and is virtually the only interesting piece of dialogue in the entire movie!

Good acting from the cast but that cannot save a totally pointless script and dull movie.
  • The cast seems lifeless and have no personalities. The premise seems interesting, but I was very disappointed in this film.
  • Warning: Spoilers
I had high expectations on this movie based on the plot and the trailer I previewed. All the actors in the movie played their characters really really well., the movie really highlighted the power of social media and how it can make or break a person's popularity. A small part by USHER in the film added some nice flavor into the story.

Overall, I would recommend it to those who want to see a really good movie!
  • This film was as predictable as it was irrelevant...and that's pretty much the most positive thing I can say about it. The cliche' of a gay man being "tricked" to sire a child by his straight female friend has been done many times before...and as in the case of "the Wedding Banquet" 20+ years ago in far superior quality. This film was just really a bunch of people whining/complaining in very long-winded monologues...as if the writer was literally allowing the actors to get lengthy soundbites for their own demo reels. The issue here is none of these monologues (or characters) is interesting...as in remotely. I added an extra star as Mark Cirilo (who only has one "gay voice" and thus possesses the range of an on/off switch) kept his clothes on in this film.
  • Do you want to waste your time? Cool! Watch this movie. The main actor is terrible, the story is not clever

Full disclosure, I'm a media influencer. That does not mean I go around my phone sewn to my hand though. This movie is an absolutely miserable Slice of Life that speaks on the evils social media which isn't a bad thing in my opinion but breaking up a marriage and making it okay to be morally and socially untrue to your partner and making it out to be the Romantic part of the story is disgraceful, and the rest of the whole thing was just bizarre. The story line leads you off in one way making you think that relationships are going to go one way and then they thread in characters that end up having no meaning to the storyline whatsoever so they just confuse things. It's just a bizarre movie I've really feel like I wasted an hour 31 minutes of my life. Thanks a lot Sherwin Shilati.
  • Warning: Spoilers
Totally average movie, not very funny or that clever. I've seen worse and i liked the modernness. The main guy Jed was an awkward unattractive dbag with bad taste, why did he like the average married girl instead of the absolute babe that is Halston Sage (Tasha) and instead made a fool of himself, i just wanted to complain about that.

Great film and cast, fun to watch, provocative message.
