Abraham Lincoln (1951)
*** (out of 4)
Well-meaning 18 minute short from the Encyclopedia Bricannica Film company, which is going to be mainly remembered today for featuring the first on-screen performance by Angus Scrimm who is known for playing The Tall Man in the PHANTASM series. He plays Lincoln here as the narrator touches upon several important parts in his life from childhood up to his assassination. Overall there's certainly nothing ground-breaking with this film but for the most part it's entertaining enough to watch. The film's narration is pretty good throughout and most of the actors are fine in their roles including Scrimm in the lead.
