Mitchel Musso was a prolific Disney Channel star who was on one of its biggest shows, "Hannah Montana." According to The Hollywood Reporter, one of the highest-rated episodes drew in over 10 million viewers. The secret superstar sitcom was one of the few series to make it past Disney Channel's dreaded 65 episode rule because it was too popular to cancel. Musso, with his Justin Bieber-style hair swoop and earnest smile, played Oliver Oken — a sweet, outgoing kid known for his quirky catchphrase, "Fricky Fricky Fresh."
He also voiced Jeremy, the guitar-playing object of Candace's affection on the animated series "Phineas and Ferb." Musso eventually earned a starring role on the Disney Xd show "Pair of Kings," about fraternal twins who become the unexpected rulers of a tropical island kingdom. But it's been at least two years since we've heard anything about what Mitchel Musso is up to, since he...

Former Disney Channel star Alyson Stoner reveals that they were fired after coming out as queer. Stoner was a prominent figure for Disney and has been starring in Disney productions since joining Mike's Super Short Show in 2001. From there, they rose to take prominent roles both for Disney and other studios. In a recent interview with the I'm Literally Screaming with Specewuah podcast (via Huffpost), Stoner explained that coming out as queer is the reason that Disney eventually cut ties with them. The 29-year-old actor was a prominent Disney star, playing Lydia in the animated Disney production Milo Murphy's Law at the time of their firing and recalling how they turned to the father of another iconic Disney figure for guidance. In Robert Zemeckis' 1994 film "Forrest Gump," Tom Hanks plays Forrest, a good-hearted but low-intelligence rube who, thanks to impeccably constructed American institutions, stumbles repeatedly into athletic, financial, and military success. Forrest is friendly, strong, and hapless, happy to tell his life story to anyone who sits on the bus bench next to him. Hanks won an Academy Award for playing Forrest, and the film itself won four additional Oscars, including Best Picture. Years later, many had started to reappraise "Forrest Gump" for its treacly tone, its sentimentality, and its unabashed conservative bent. This author was in high school when "Forrest Gump" was released and recalls a teacher sagely pointing out that the title character's "innocence" was only perceived by audiences due to his wealth. Had Forrest's decisions led to financial ruin, his "innocence" would not be positively touted.
But in 1994, "Forrest Gump" was the bee's knees, representing mainstream Hollywood filmmaking...

“Phineas and Ferb” co-creator Dan Povenmire was absent-mindedly doodling on a scrap of paper during a meeting when he realized he had sketched his way into his next TV show: It was a hamster, in a superhero outfit.
“It just came from my subconscious somewhere,” he told Variety. “I liked it and I set it aside and took a picture of it. I brought it home, and then I pitched a bunch of ideas for a show for it to my daughter when I was tucking her in one night. I was able to come up with a whole bunch of ideas for it right away.”
Povenmire had just wrapped Disney+’s “Phineas and Ferb the Movie: Candace Against the Universe,” and was ready to pitch something new. So while on vacation, he created the pilot that would become his latest series, “Hamster and Gretel,” which premieres Friday on Disney Channel (9:35 p.

At the same time, he is beginning to get a sense of not only the world around him, but his place in said world. Kanan wants to be just like his mother and that’s the problem. He’s young and wide-eyed and doesn’t know how the hustle works. And even more importantly, his mother is not nearly as keen as he is for him to follow in her footsteps.
