Milo's pet dog is named Diogee. When spoken, the name sounds like saying the letters D-O-G.

'The Doctor Zone Files' is an amalgam of three popular science fiction television shows: Doctor Who, The Twilight Zone, and The X-Files.

Milo's dog, Diogee, is voiced by Dee Bradley Baker. He previously voiced Perry the Platypus, the pet of the stars of 'Phineas and Ferb,' also created by Dan Povenmire and Jeff "Swampy" Marsh.

In Rooting for the Enemy, Melissa says "Great Googly Moogly! This is a reference to what Major Monogram from Phineas and Ferb says.

After the initial premiere of earlier episodes, their reruns were altered to include Cavendish and Vinnie Dakota in the background.

Confirmed at San Diego Comic Con 2017: Milo Murphy's Law will be crossing over with Phineas and Ferb.

In "We're Going to the Zoo", Vinnie Dakota loses a bet and must sing "We're Going to the Zoo" with pistachios in his pants. While singing, squirrels crawl into his pants and he says, "I've got squirrels in my pants," a reference to Phineas & Ferb and the song "Squirrels in My Pants."

In "We're Going To The Zoo", Milo's sister, Sara, asks Milo, "What happened to these platypus pajamas?" while holding up pajamas that look like Perry The Platypus and part of Perry's theme music plays. She also asks, "Why are they teal? Aren't platypuses brown?" Milo responds with, "Someone's idea of artsy."

Ming-Na Wen and Brett Dalton starred in Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. (2013) together.

In "Rooting for the Enemy," someone can be heard shouting, "This is better than Football X-7!" This is a reference to the "Phineas and Ferb" episode, "My Fair Goalie."

In "Worked Day" Cavendish and Vinnie Dakota plot out their heist with a map of Danville, which would seem to suggest that Milo Murphy lives in the same city as Phineas and Ferb.

Vincent Martella voices Bradley Nicholson, the polar opposite of his previous role, Phineas Flynn. Martella, Povenmire, Marsh, composer Danny Jacob, and fellow voice actor Dee Bradley Baker all worked together previously on the Disney Channel series Phineas and Ferb.

In "We're Going To The Zoo", Milo, Zack, and Sara are chasing a trailer that has Mrs. Murphy's concert t-shirts inside of it. They run after it onto a closed ski slope called 'Danville Ski Slope'. Danville is the name of the town in which Phineas and Ferb live.

"Weird Al" Yankovic is credited simply as Al Yankovic.

Despite Milo Murphy was around age 13 or 14,"Weird" Al Yankcovic,Milo's voice actor, was actually in real life 58 years old.

Melissa Chase was designed with the same hair and eye color as Candace Flynn from Phineas and Ferb (2007).

Sabrina Carpenter stars as Maya Hart on Girl Meets World (2014), which is another Disney show.

Second TV show for Disney Television by Dan Povenmire and Jeff "Swampy" Marsh.

Milo plays the accordion just like his voice actor, "Weird Al" Yankovic.

Melissa's voice, Sabrina Carpenter was previously on Phineas and Ferb in Phineas and Ferb: What a Croc!/Ferb TV (2012).

Melissa Chase is designed with a slightly darker shade of the same skin color, hair color and eye color as Candace Flynn from Phineas and Ferb. Melissa was also the name of a Fireside Girl from Phineas and Ferb: We Call It Maze/Ladies and Gentlemen, Meet Max Modem! (2010).

Sabrina Carpenter and Crissie Fitt both star in Disney Channel original movies.

In "Murphy's Lard",The Rollercoaster that crushed Mellissa's science project is the same one used/appeared for/in Phineas and Ferb's 2007 S1 E1 pilot,"Rollercoaster".

The show is based on the concept of "Murphy's Law," which simply means "anything that can go wrong will go wrong." Milo is meant to be the great great great great grandson of the "original" Murphy, who inspired the saying.

Phineas and Ferb and Milo Murphy's Law both have Dee Bradley Baker voice the title character's pet, have Dan Povenmire and Jeff "Swampy" Marsh voice a duo of main characters from a different story than the title character(s), and both star a trio of kids consisting of 1 girl and 2 boys (Phineas, Candace and Ferb in P&F, Milo, Melissa and Zack in Milo Murphy's Law). Both shows have their own unique set of voice actors for the 3 kids.

The show takes place in the same universe as Phineas and Ferb. This is clearly stated in the episode "Murphy's Lard" where Melissa explains she has a fear of roller coasters due to nearly getting crushed by Phineas and Ferb's roller coaster.

Unlike Perry, Diogee is not a pet agent, although he once accidentally became a substitute for one of Perry's missions in Milo Murphy's Law: Picture Day/Agee Ientee Diogee (2018).

Candace Flynn and Milo Murphy are the only main characters from their respective show's main trio of kids who know both of Perry's identities. Phineas Flynn and Ferb Fletcher only know Perry in 4-legged pet mode (Milo Murphy's Law: The Phineas and Ferb Effect (2018)) while Zack Underwood and Melissa Chase only know Perry in 2-legged agent mode (Milo Murphy's Law: The Ticking Clock/Managing Murphy's Law (2018)).

In the Season 2 premiere, Dr. Doofenshmirtz from Phineas and Ferb (who shares a voice with Dakota) permanently moves to Milo Murphy's Law as a new recurring character when Doofenshmirtz Evil Incorporated is destroyed by Lardee Boy getting launched towards it.
