It's true that you can have too much of a good thing...please no more different editions!

THEATRICAL CUT - was the best version of any of the "cuts" it was the most cleanly edited and it had the best soundtrack out of the three. It is clear after seeing all the versions of the film that they tested all of the jokes and the ones included were cherry picked, and the best were picked to be included in this one.

SUPER DUPER CUT/EXTENDED - this was supposed to be an extended version of the film but it was actually a different cut...what I mean by that is that they changed the soundtrack and they cut out what I considered to be some of the funniest jokes from the theatrical cut and replaced them. They ALSO added some additional footage to the film after making those changes. This version of the film feels darker and less funny to me personally so I prefer the theatrical cut over it.

ONCE UPON A DEADPOOL/PG13 - This is the edition that nobody asked for and is the most unnecessary. From an editing standpoint this version of film is very sloppy, and seems like one giant montage. They don't even start this version of the film out at the beginning it jumps right into the "safe room scene". A lot of the footage included in this edition was already available on the home releases and online (apart from the short amount filmed with Fred Savage). The movie would end up edited on TV regardless of this edition existing or not. So in reality there was no need for this edition to exist apart from making more money.

Did You Know?

Shooting for this film started on May 1, 2017 in Vancouver, Canada.

Deadpool: Fuck Wolverine. First he rides my coattails with the R-rating, and then, that hairy motherfucker ups the ante by dying. What a dick. Well, guess what, Wolvie? I'm dying in this one, too.

No matter how super-strong a person might be, a long heavy vehicle cannot be swung around by grabbing onto its front end - without being braced against a fixed backstop they would only move themselves around instead, and even if they were so braced then all they'd achieve is severe damage to the vehicle's front end.

Crazy Credits

"You Can't Stop This Motherfucker" plays at the end of the closing credits.

Alternate Versions

The 'Super Duper Cut' of the film that was released on home video extends the theatrical edition with 15 minutes of added scenes, and includes some alternative material. The main changes include:

  • Extended World Tour: additional shots of Deadpool killing gang members around the world, with the montage in the Japanese bathhouse restored to a single shot.
  • Additional suicide attempts, where Wade steps into a polar bear den inside a zoo, and then jumps from a building, both without success.
  • Additional scenes of Russell arriving at Essex House and being tortured (parts of these scenes appeared as flashbacks in the theatrical version).
  • Extended scenes at the X-Mansion where Wade introduces food labels for the refrigerator.
  • Russell and Juggernaut ruin a mall when they go shopping for matching outfits.
  • Extended scene of Deadpool trying to win back Colossus' sympathy.
  • Extended fight between Juggernaut, Cable and Domino.
  • Extended afterlife scene between Wade and Vanessa.
  • Extended mid-credits scenes with Deadpool and Peter, and with Wolverine
  • Post-credits scene where Deadpool travels back in time in an attempt to kill baby Hitler.
Some minor changes include alternative music in some scenes; many scenes have extended and/or alternate dialog; and certain jokes from the theatrical version have been changed (such as the Sharknado joke during the prison scene and the "Hi Wade!"/"Hi Yukio!" run-on gag throughout the theatrical release).
