  • Capcom needs to stop allowing studios taking their best video games and bashing them into rubbish Films and cartoons. Even Nintendo kept telling other studios no even after the god awful Super mario bros!.
  • Okay. I am writing this review from two different perspectives. One, that this is a Mega Man show. Two, that this is a kid's show.

As a Mega Man show, I honestly don't think this could be worse. They changed the character designs for seemingly no reason. Got rid of the fun mad scientist Dr. Wily and replaced him with Mr. Generic Mcgee over here. Changed Rock's name, again, for seemingly no reason. It's attrocious.

As a KID' SHOW... It's just okay. The voice acting is meh. The animation is meh. The setting is boring. However, I feel like kids would enjoy this. Then again, there have been some wonderful kids shows on Cartoon Network such as Adventure Time or Steven Universe. This just doesn't hold up compared to them. And again, they didn't need to change character designs. I don't think that kids would be disgusted by how Mega Man is supposed to look.

This animation is one of the worst animation i' ever seen. Another Garbage kid show.
  • Ok so going into this show I had some high hopes it could be good I'm a huge mega Man fan so I was excited to hear they were making a Mega Man cartoon, only to find out it's a 3D animated series, I'm not a big fan of tv shows with 3D animation it's usually lazy and it just looks weird. The animation is lazy and just garbage, the voice acting is bad, and it's like the creators have never played a Mega Man game. And the 16 bit animation is eh if they used the actual sprites from the game then it would look a lot better. My rating a 1/10
  • It's Absolute Crap. I mean the Big pile of crap from Jurassic Park is closer to Mega Man than this show. Ignorant fools will say "This isn't for mega man fans. This is not for you. This is for kids!" BS Excuse. You have to be "Mega High!" to enjoy this show. Worst part is that the Episode I watched was written by Man of Action... The Team behind Ben 10... I would request to have the episode writing credit to Alan Smithee ASAP. The Premise takes a massive diarrhea dump on all that is Mega Man. He's a Robot schoolboy with a tiny annoying robot that acts like a sort of symbiote. The Robot Boy transforms into Mega Man and is a "secret hero". He's not Rock Light... His Sister is not Roll Light... Dr. Thomas Light has been hitting the Canseco Juice Real Hard... Albert Wily is NOT the villain... He's Aki Light's best friend and a ginger... DO YOU EVEN MEGA MAN!? Right now, the Anime Cutscenes in Mega Man 8 with their horrible English dub are looking like a better Mega Man show than this...

Now in the name of fairness, the voice acting is decent and whenever they go to sprite art it looks good. This should be cancelled and be remade into a proper Mega Man cartoon... Or eliminate all Mega Man references and rebrand it as something else. It could work as a "brand new IP" as a Mega Man cartoon it should be called MEGA CRAP.
  • Avoid at all costs it is nothing like I hoped it would be it is a disgrace to the mega man franchise

Excellent for children. Although different looks than the original, it is still charming.
  • Warning: Spoilers
I just got finished watching the entire show (up to episode 26 as of now) and I will keep this pretty simple: it's not as bad as everyone dramatically says it is.

First I want to address the elephant in the room. The writing is the weakest aspect of the show followed by the animation. The dialogue can be pretty stale and even cringy at times, but as the show progresses the story begins to develope and about halfway through the series it's definitely more enjoyable. I began liking the motive of the main villain and especially Namagem. You get some filler episodes with original and classic Mega Man characters, but the main plot line between Sgt. Night and Mega Man is, albeit not the best, is still fairly entertaining and well thought out. Still, the majority of the episodes are actually charming and still stay true to the blue bomber's origins.

The animation like I mentioned isn't the smoothest and can sometimes be a little distracting with how repetitive background characters are and the lack of a real light source. I could get really technical with the animation, but to keep this short and to the point I just wish the art style and 3D animation were given more care and attention. I will say however that the character designs in the show are very creative and absolutely stunning, especially for Robot Masters like Fire Man and even Namagem and Mega Man himself.

To finish this off, I've been seeing a lot of die hard and casual Mega Man fans complain about a lot of changes to the show and how "it's garbage and has ruined my childhood and the glorious name of Mega Man" blah blah blah. I get that many people are angry about Roll and Wily are not how they have always been throughout the franchise and instead we get elder sister Suna and best friend Wily. To me this is absolutely okay to do. I'm glad the creators of the show decided to add in their own original characters and take a new spin on who the villain is. It's not lazy or bad. It's creative, new, and apparently too daring for many people to just sit down and actually watch the damn thing.

Although the show may seem a little all over the place, it's still very charming and fun. I do not like the excuse of "it's a children's show" to substitute the weak points of the entire show, but as a huge fan of Mega Man myself, I think other fans and newcomers need to appreciate the fact that this is a step in a different direction for the blue bomber and it's not the end of the world just because the show isn't 100% true to the original content.

Ok, ok, ok.... Let me get this started.

I love video games, I really do. Sonic, Mario, Pokémon, Mega Man, Arkham, Resident Evil, ANYTHING!!! But the case here is Mega Man.

I love Mega Man, I love the X series, the Zero series, just about anything Mega Man. And when there's a chance of adapting Mega Man into a TV series, there will be high expectations from fans who longed for a decent and proper show where nostalgia kicks in and takes you back to where Mega Man has touched. When this show was first announced, I was excited cause maybe a Mega Man cartoon that can turn out well. The first concept art I came up to... What the hell? Computer generated?! I thought they were going for anime!!! Just like Mega Man 8 or Mega Man X4, just with better voice acting! I mean, we had Day Of The Sigma with better voice acting, but that was the PSP era.

Nope, as soon as I found out, Man of Action is involved.... I was like, "screw it, this is gonna crap just like the Ben 10 reboot." I was disappointed and kept saying the show will turn out bad... There goes another black sheep of Mega Man. When I first saw the trailer and preview, I put my phone down, and swore to never, NEVER, watch one episode from that.

Why, Capcom? You had a great chance of making ONE Mega Man TV series, ANIME LIKE, similar to MM8, MMX4, and MHX.... But you decided to work with Man of Action... I'm not raging, but expressing disappointment. So now, it's like the Ruby Spears cartoon.

Capcom, please step up your game and make Mega Man great again... Looks like I'll be looking forward to Mega Man 11.

    It's OK.

I literally thought this was going to be way worse, but they actually know what they are doing. This is just like what Spectacular Spider man was to the 1994 Spider man cartoon.

Seriously, I know this show has been catching a lot of hate, but overall it's alright. In the same vain as NT warrior and Star Force, this show is a solid Mega Man show through and through with just enough goodies for old fans. The animation is fine for what is it, not super stylized but not flat like others cgi shows such as Beware The Batman. Mega Man himself looks fine and has all his classic base moves such as the slide and his iconic color pallet swapping weapon copying, which translates well to a 3D environment.

Dialog is alright, just a bit hit or miss at times as they try to appeal to the younger generation, and it can be down right hammy at other times. Voice acting is alsoa mixed bag, Mega Man's voice tends to ride the line between tolerable and annoying, but it's always been a mixed bag when it comes to Mega Man voice acting in other mediums (excluding the Mega Man X OVA). Personally I'm surprised they got the same guy who voiced Optimus Primal from Beast Wars to voice Dr .Light, which is such a treat given the setting.

Its clear that Man of Action know what their doing as in the first episode most known characters from the games is present. Granted their not going in order of game appearance with the robot masters Mega Man fights weekly.

Dr. Light is present and it cool having him around. Roll is semi present but now under the name Suna, Rush is here and still Mega Man's robotic buddy( Come on Super Rush Adapter!). Even Wily is present, granted he is still a wild card as they made him a friend to Megaman instead of Dr. Light's bitter rival, thats something I got to keep my eye on. Gutsman, Fireman, Elec man and Ice man from the first game is here and done pretty well. Woodman from Megaman 2, Drill Man from Mega Man 4 , and Wave Man from Mega Man 5 also return with some good backstories as well. There is even 3 brand new Robot Masters in Hypno Woman, Blasto Woman, and Chemistry Man who all have very interesting abilities and personalities.

Now dont get me wrong, the Archie comic Mega Man is the best version of the material and I would have killed for that to be adapted instead of a brand new show. Overall in the hands of the guys behind ben 10, the villain of the week formula will work with the classic Mega Man rouges gallery well but they need to step it up if they want to draw in more fans and deter the hate. I feel season 2 will start getting much more robust with its story elements . This has the making of something amazing in its DNA. It's not there yet, but i feel it will make it some day.

TMNT 2012, Miraculous Ladybug , Green Lantern the animated series , and even the later season of Sonic Boom tempered me to give this show benefit of the doubt. In their first debut I whole heatedly despised every last one of these shows, but their later episodes made me eat my words time and time again.

In the end , it's a good show for both long time Mega Man fans and newcomers to the franchise . It doesn't offend like TTG and it doesn't annoy like Sonic Boom season 1. I can't wait to see what this shows grows in to.

This review would be short and sweet (or at least it should be)

Mega Man: Fully Charged is the latest televised representation of the titular Blue Bomber himself. Is it bad? Per say, I don't mind the series at all; in the beginning I thought it was a very trash reboot as that was how it was presented to me, but after watching it, it grew on me a bit. Yes, the show is for kids and I am above the target demographic (an added 1 star for this), but this show, despite the childish humor, can be enjoyed if you set somethings aside. Yeah, nostalgia can't fuel it forever; most might find this weird CGI 'Monster' to be repulsive especially since some of their beloved characters are not present. This, too put me off a bit, but it does have potential to be something great if we let it be. Other than that, I consider it to be a 'Watchable' show, but somethings do have to improve for this show to become something great and I do hope that Man of Action and Cartoon Network do improve this show; it isn't perfect and yes, it could be better. Some things are hit or miss, but it isn't practically unwatchable (to me at least, it isn't)

One just has to hope. If the show does get better (or worse), I will obviously change my views.
  • Warning: Spoilers
So when I heard of megaman fully charged announced I was like, well ok (I wasn't into megaman at the time and never played any games). A couple months go by and I play megaman legacy collection 1 and it was outstanding and I became a big fan and learn so much of megaman. so enough of getting off topic so then a couple more months go by and I decided to take a look at megaman fully changed and without a doubt it is the worst video game show in my opinion. Let's start of on the character designs, I'm not a fan of it and same goes to the animation it could have got more quality. Next let's talk about the robot masters, you know the most important part of megaman some I can tell who they are but the rest Ice man looks trash looks nothing like him, I got horrified while looking at elec man and those are it that I can remember for only watching half an episode and I'm not really a fan on how megaman looks(when he has transformed). I should get to on the half an episode I saw before I raged quit. The episode stats of with the intro and I thought it would just be some wacky cartoon series based on megaman but I got a bad surprise. At the end of the intro to the episode The first thing I have noticed was rush, what happened to him(or if that was rush) then dr.light was normal then I saw the girl! You know megamans "sister" oh boy I wonder were ROLL is! It caught me off guard that roll was gonna be replaced and she was a good character too! Now megamans name rock has no meaning because it's a play on words like ROCK and ROLL and ROCK and RUSH for roll and rush but moving on. I looked to the other side expecting a familiar face but where's dr.wily? Instead we got this generic looking bad guy. So moving on to the episode and then megaman has to save a guy from a building and all he does is jump way too high like 20 feet in the air. I could tell they did not know were to take this scene to, this could've made a perfect introduction for rush by using rush jet or coil but their brainless. So then megaman was watching that from his phone and then we meet her, his "not imposter sister" and I was so shocked to learn that she was Rocks sisters and I didn't like her character ether! In fact I didn't like most of the characters they had nothing interesting to say and I really don't like that robot guy that lives in megaman he is really annoying, and they mention that megamans "sister" is Not a robot so is she adopted then? Then fireman becomes evil by just snapping and getting angry what about megaman 1 wily had to hack the robot masters To become evil and then 5 minutes go by and I just give up. I extremely do not recommend this show even though I doubt anyone reading this but I'm disappointed if you doing a show on megaman your going to get high expectations an they just throw it out the window and say we don't need that so do me a favor and never watch this show ever.

This show doesn't do anything special, each episode is painfully slow and boring, the writing is the most predictable schlock and the voice acting is grating.

Using the excuse that the show is just made for children is unhelpful. There is a plethora of children's television with real passion and creativity behind it, and to lump it in with low effort cash-grabs like this really undermines the work that goes into those shows.

Yes, kids are easily impressed by just about anything, but would a child *really* look back on this show as something memorable and important to them? Would they *really* feel a sense of nostalgia or attachment for something like this?

Similarly, complaints about the show being unfaithful to it's source material are 100% warranted. Because ask yourself; why is this show about Mega Man? If the attempt was to introduce the character/franchise to a new, younger audience, then it has failed miserably.

What's the point of "introducing" something as well established as the Mega Man series to a younger generation if almost *nothing* about it even closely resembles the original. Many fans of the franchise aren't upset that the property they love is being changed into something they don't like, they're upset because this is practically a *completely different* story, with completely different characters, with the franchise they love slapped onto it for brand recognition.

But even ignoring all of this the show doesn't hold up on it's own merits in a vacuum.

The show is a visual mess. The lighting and detail isn't the worst I've seen from shows like it, but it certainly isn't good. The character designs are a complete mess, which is especially perplexing since the original designs would have worked far better while also being less work to animate due to their simplicity.

Each episode has almost nothing going on, with the simplest and least exciting conflicts you could possibly think of. The lack of plot also means that episodes will only take place in around 2 or 3 locations each, not that any of them are pleasing to look at anyway.

A majority of the show is just filler that strings together lame joke after lame, predictable joke. I swear at least 50% of the dialogue is just padding and the other 50% are punchlines.

If you want a good show for your kids to watch, there are plenty of infinitely better options out there. If you want a show you can watch as a Mega Man fan, don't bother, it's not even remotely similar to anything else Mega Man related.

If you want to introduce the series to someone or get into it yourself...then just play the games, they haven't gone anywhere and they actually have effort put into them.
  • Cartoon Network and Boomerang never fail to disappoint me. This is among one of those horrendous monstrosities that they managed to crap out just to get money from unsuspecting viewers. This whole show is an absolute disgrace to the Mega Man franchise (Ruby Spears and Captain N are a tad bit worse) and it shouldn't exist by any means necessary. The designs are a pain to look at. The characters have horrible personalities that make me cringe whenever I hear them speak their lines. And I bet the only people that this really appeals to are 7-10 year olds who haven't heard of Mega Man just until they saw this. If you want to watch a good Mega Man show, then I highly recommend NT Warrior or Star Force over this garbage. It seems as if almost every video game adapted into a show turns out to be substandard, or extremely bad.

Being a huge Mega Man fan, I was excited when this new series was announced. However, much like the garbage Teen Titans Go and new ThunderCats series coming out...Mega Man falls in to the same category of bad animation and no story.
  • Maybe I just had too high hopes for this show, but i was really dissapointed in it... if you like hte show thats fine, its really just not for me
  • elormagamah30 October 2018
This show is not bad, it's not canon to any of the Mega man series so it can be enjoyed as its own thing but it does pick some elements from the classic series like the robot masters and main characters who've been redesigned well, fireman and doctor light for example look great. Fully charged has sort of like a monster of the week formula which can admittedly get a bit stale and the hero talk from Aki can get a bit annoying but the characters are fun and i enjoy the interaction in the light family, but the robot masters show up multiple times keeping the story of each episode interesting and we get to know more about them not necessarily character development (not yet at least). There are a lot of references to past mega man games which some of older fans would get, if you're a mega man fan give this a watch
  • doddman15 May 2019
It has good points and bad point like any other show So stop with exaggerations already! Also I would not mind a 2nd season
  • aronjames-glasser48213 October 2018
    1/10
    Avoid
This show is absolutely garbage, Stick to the 1994 cartoon series!
  • I like this TV show so much It make me think it should be add as a new game. The voice acting is excellent and I'm proud of this. The animation was not lazy, garbage or bad because it's really really good as I like this for some reason. My rating a 10/10 cuz this show will make me drawing Alicia (my self oc) a new forms!
  • Mega Man Fully Charged gets way too much hate. Basically a new universe, the series focuses on Aki Light, a robot boy who can transform into Mega Man with the aid of Mega Mini, a little robot inside him, to fight evil in Silicon City, from rouge robots to the evil Lord Obsidian, who is the secret identity of Sgt. Breaker Night, a veteran of Hard Wars alongside Dr. Light, who wants to destroy human-robot relations.

Okay, as a longtime Mega Man fan, I admit this show has differences, but thankfully, like Pac-Man And The Ghostly Adventures and Sonic Boom before it, Mega Man Fully Charged is an alternate universe aimed at kids. The episodes are mostly based on problems Aki / Mega Man has (be it with life or a decision caused because of a side effect of scanning a Robot Master's schematics, as in this show, Mega Man not only gains a master's power, but also personality). Also, the show has nods to the games and some lore (the series makes use of 8-bit graphics for some scenes, and one minor character, Man Man, is based off of the Bad Box Art Mega Man).

The series starts off being comedic, but gets serious towards the end, and the Robot Master selection is impressive, as well as the voice cast and animation. It's a shame Cartoon Network mishandled this show to the point of it only lasting one season, as the network put it on early morning hours (when the target audience are still asleep) and giving no advertising (also, an online interview there were creative differences between Dentsu Entertainment and DHX Media, known today as WildBrain, over how a second season would be done). While this may not be the ideal cartoon for longtime Mega Man fans, kids will like it.
  • Well let's see oh yes the fact that the show is for kids that is a great place to begin with. If your looking for a high standard for everyone show, your not going to find it ,this is a show that not everyone will enjoy but it you can get past the eat your vegetables type of hand fed statements you'll be fine. Yeah when I saw the design my thought was " what is that that's not megaman " but I looked at the show with low standards wanting to see something appalling but still with some optimism and I got something that was better then expected. The animation is good not fantastic but not bad as some clam but I expected this much from DHX I've seen their animation it's in terms cheap but smooth and can be very impressive they know what their doing. Now megaman his design bothered me at first but then I took a second and thought there's lots of megaman designs out there some better then others and this is not the one from the games and that's the point it's not supposed to be the one from the game it is one made for the show ,so it's just another megaman upon the pile of them. The enemys I like they look like the game ones but still made to look like they belong in their surroundings. Now if you like the show have fun watching if you don't like it then go watch Pac-man.
  • Teaches team work and I enjoy the retro mega man masters.

    We love it
  • Let's get this out of the way: nothing in this show is cannon, so major Mega Man fans will be disappointed with how little this show follows previous storylines. HOWEVER. This show DOES include previous robot masters and uses sound effects and music from previous Mega Man games (especially Mega Man 2.)

Now that you're done expecting this to be true to the Mega Man series, you can watch this for what it is, a kids show. It's funny, it's light hearted, and for a kid with a gun on his arm, it's not very violent. My five year old loves it, so does his little brother, and I don't mind watching it with them.
