Set over one summer, the film follows precocious six-year-old Moonee as she courts mischief and adventure with her ragtag playmates and bonds with her rebellious but caring mother, all while living in the shadows of Walt Disney World.
Sean Baker discovered Bria Vinaite for the lead role on Instagram.
Bobby:
It's only the second week of summer and there's already been a dead fish in the pool.
Moonee:
We were performing a science experiment: we were trying to get it back alive.
At one point when Mooney takes a bath, she is wearing a necklace with pink flowers on it. A few scenes later, you see Halley buy her that necklace after selling the magic bracelets.
