Steven, a charismatic surgeon, is forced to make an unthinkable sacrifice after his life starts to fall apart, when the behavior of a teenage boy he has taken under his wing turns sinister.
Heart surgery scenes in the film are real. They were filmed during an operation on a real patient who was undergoing quadruple bypass surgery which Colin Farrell attended.
The boy is very good at math and physics. Kim is very good at literature and history. They're both a little restless, but they've never been rude to any of the staff.

Following Martin's curse, Bob's legs are supposed to be completely paralyzed. However at the hospital, after Steven has thrown Bob on the floor, Bob's slightly moves his legs as he's picked up again.
