When Krazy-8 (Max Arciniega) walks into the restaurant at the beginning he can be seen wearing a polo shirt with a Tampico logo. When visiting Chuck (Michael McKean), Howard (Patrick Fabian) has a bottle of alcohol marked 1966 and Howard tells Chuck that it is thirty-five years old, which led to some confusion with fans over the time period of the episode. However, the thirty-five years of ageing refer to the period between production and bottling, since ageing stops at that point, meaning that the alcohol was bottled either in 2001 or 2002, with it being consumed in 2003, when the episode is set.

Fitting that, being a series full of movie references, a lot of them from the 1970's and 1980's, an actor from that era is the director of this episode: Keith Gordon from Jaws 2, Dressed to Kill, Christine and Back To School. After retiring from acting, Gordon became a director of indie films and television.
