  • OK I have been watching this sense the first episode and I have been very pleased with what I have seen mr waynes just gets more charming and hilarious every week this is a nice family oriented program for those who are concerned about content rest easy there is nothing but mild swears and brief sexual humor so far I have always laughed out loud from the episodes I have seen
  • The wayans brand of comedy isn't for everyone but this new comedy works for today's generation. It's not living in the past like the wayans bros or in living color when Marlon is not being silly hes serious and giving his kids messages that shows growth
  • I am really enjoying this show. everyone in the show is just adorable. Be sure to check out Marlon 'going ghetto' in the pilot. absolutely hilarious! i didn't expect it and boy did he deliver. well written TV show and well acted. this is a feel good TV show which will entertain you. enjoy!
  • Yeah he pans for the camera. Yeah he over acts. Yeah he's working hard and it works for me, I can always count on several laugh out loud annoying my wife moments and I love this show! You really need to ignore the naysayers and decide for yourself because if you liked John Ritters "in your face" kind of comedy you might just like this.
  • Jjajajajjaja hilarious comedy with great plot and great main actor
  • A lot of people, myself included, were confused as to why the Wayans Bros TV show ever got canceled, well, 'Marlon' is, in a way, the Wayans Bros 2.0. Although Marlon's all grown up now, he's still as immature as ever. And it's HILARIOUS to watch. Not trying to do any corny movie parodies this time, it's the perfect setting for Marlon's humor to really shine as he copes with a very mature subject matter. Divorce. Literally the first sitcom in years to make me have a belly laugh. Although the jokes may not be too clever at times, his over-the- top antics are bound to entertain. Definitely looking forward to season two!
  • As much as I enjoyed the pilot and most of season 1, the second season was a complete let down. The last episode was utterly bitterly terrible, I cringed so bad. The racist comments seemed unnecessary. No, I'm not white. The Marlon's way of insulting someone was by just calling them white. Oh you can't drive? You must be white! You're scared? Ah you're being white! And I can't believe this stuff can be aired on tv, I guess that's USA for you.

But besides the racist nonsense, I did enjoy Yvette's character the most. Ashley character was too drab and boring for me. Yvette and Marlon's banter was entertaining. Although he always took it too far. Punchlines are better when they're short and not 3 minutes long. I watched both season. But I'm not disappointed that there isn't a 3rd season.
  • Marlon Wayans is so understated. One of the Greatest Comedians ever in History. Coming from a Multitalented family . The entire Wayans Family. Season 1 and Season 2 was and Still is the Best Comedy Show on Netflix. Hilarious and Funny. Non stop laughing in my House. The entire cast are Hysterical. Essence Atkins has always been a Hollywood favorite. Actress who portrays Yvette is surely a Phenomenal Actress. There should be a Petition for a Season 3 on Netflix for the Marlon Show gloating around.
  • I really like the Wayans, but often times Marlon is too much for me, and this show only made that clear.

There were some really funny parts, but it often felt like he would push it too far or go on for too long. He'd go over the top with his silliness then all of a sudden, at the last two minutes of the episode, he'd be serious! It wouldn't allow the seriousness of the topic to really shine. The kids felt like an afterthought who were just there every once in a while to be background noise. Marlon was so silly, it was hard to see him ever being anyone's father and definitely not married to a woman like Essence Atkins, who came off as really classy and cute. But I didn't think that she was funny. I think Bresha Webb would have actually been better to play his ex wife.

Other than that, it had decent casting and writing I just think Marlon should have toned it down a bit and allowed himself to be more natural. It felt like someone craving attention and doing whatever it takes to get that attention.

The only thing wrong with Marlon is that there needs to be more episodes.

The first few episodes of the 1st season were actually funny but perhaps because I hadn't seen Marlon Wayans on the screen for quite some time. Unfortunately now I know why.

Marlon is about an Afro-American family with 2 teenagers dealing with every day challenges, so you'd expect. The sitcom, as the name says, is literally all about Marlon. No daily challenges an average family faces in today's world but more about Marlon, and to an extent his wife. The kids?? Just additional characters to make it a "family sitcom" like most sitcoms nowadays. The college friends of both Marlin and his wife even play a bigger role in the sitcom than the kids.

The humor is all provided by Marlon. So a fan of Marlon Wayans would love this sitcom and would propably rate it a 7 or higher. If you always find Marlon Wayans OK because other characters had a substantial role then you might get bored, or even bored with the exagerrated behavior of Marlon trying to be funny or either trying to make a point. YES, he has his funny moments, but the sitcom is centered too much on a personallity played by somebody who is exaggerating his attempts to be funny way too much.

Guys give it a chance! Is a comedy and it sure does the job!
  • This made me laugh so much! Keep up the good work! I loved it, my husband loved it, and now my family is loving it! I'm so glad you finally did a show like this! Screw what others say about "not funny!" Just keep the ass shaking and weird stuff like that out. Can't wait to see what you make next!! So sad it only had a few episodes!
  • Marlon Wayne (Marlon Wayans) is an internet influencer and pitchman. He is divorced from his wife Ashley but finds himself spending more time with her and their 2 young kids at their suburban home. He often clashes with her best friend Yvette. His slacker friend Stevie is crashing at his large apartment.

Marlon is the clown and the fool of the show. He would be much better as the wacky best friend. As the leading man, he gets annoying real fast. The laugh track does not help especially when there are no laughs to be had. The wife is being the wife. Yvette is the standard sassy black girl. Stevie is a charisma sinkhole. I actually like the kids very much. This is an old style sitcom with Marlon going crazy trying to inject life into the formula. Apparently, there is no work place and therefore, the action takes place mostly in the two homes. Other network sitcoms with minority casts are doing better work. This one fails even as a traditional sitcom. I am surprised by the second season renewal and I hope for a quick end.

My 12-year old daughter and I watched the Pilot episode as well as a subsequent one last night. We both thought it was very funny and entertaining. We could have done without the few sexual innuendos, but overall it was very funny and not too silly (for a Wayans comedy). I didn't know if it was going to be a goofy boyish-slapstick comedy, but it turned out to be very enjoyable for us girls. Marlon was silly as usual, but Essence made the show a little more serious which was a good thing. The daughter was cute and funny. Marlon's roommate/boarder was also very funny and likable. We can't wait for future episodes.

This is the best comedy I've seen since the TV show dads was canceled. I laughed the whole time 😁 We are constantly bring up some Of the scenes through out the week. Those are the best shows the ones you don't forget! Marlon has always been really funny to me as is his family. Its natural for them it seems and you feel you can go right along with them 😉 this show is just more proof.

I really enjoyed this show. Marlon Wayons is hilarious. Much like Jerry Lewis back in the day. I enjoy the supporting cast. They really seem to have a good vibe. I don't understand the bad reviews I read. I think some people are just haters. In this time of disasters, bad politics, hate and racism we need mindless comedy to distract us from what's really going on in the world. We all need a good laugh sometimes. I know I do.

    Nah
I actually saw him sweat in one of the episodes because he was doing.too.damn.much.

The stalking and not letting go of his ex wife is not cute. The way he always messes upp in the begining of every episode and at the end of it - after he messes up some more, gaslights his ex, hurt her feelings - he admits to his flaws but still, in some weird way, manages to get his way and all is forgiven. Then comes the next episode with new flaws, fights, gaslighting and forgivness.
  • This show is warm, cool, and definitely funny. I mean come on people, this is MARLON WAYANS were talking about. Many of us haven't seen this man on TV since THE WAYANS BROS. We have to give this a chance y'all because there are not many good ones on TV nowadays. The Carmichael show was canceled but that doesn't mean that MARLON is going to be canceled soon. So let's watch it because Marlon himself said that this is a family snow and I hope that America will be watching too.

    Warning: Spoilers
There are many unfunny and annoying things about,"Marlon". Marlon's shameless camera mugging would be OK if it were once or twice a show, but it happens in nearly every time Marlon talks. The stalking of the ex-wife on a date was an inappropriate plot for a protagonist in 1980s television. In the 21st century only a creeper stalks an ex-wife. It's not that the main character has to always be likable. Jerrod Carmichael's character is sometimes the worst person on his show, but,"The Carmichael Show" is well written and acted, and there is a point to every show. The point of,"Marlon", seems to be irresponsible, creepy dads are hilarious and lovable. They aren't.
  • This show was ok funny we need another season! Like NOW
  • This is a great family show. Its funny and nice to watch.
