Netflix continues to dominate the streaming industry during the Halloween season by adding a lot of new titles each and every day. And the latest batch of movies and original series, releasing this coming week, certainly don’t look like they’ll disappoint.
Courtesy of the Covid-19 pandemic, the entertainment industry is currently in shambles. While a few directors, like Tenet‘s Christopher Nolan, push to reopen theaters with the necessary health precautions, dire circumstances have made this an impossibility for a lot of communities around the world. Luckily, streaming services have proven to be a great substitute for many people. Though in fairness, even before the global outbreak, these platforms were slowly turning into a preference in countless households.

This week, for instance, we’ve got The Umbrella Academy season 2, while August’s load includes Project Power and Lucifer season 5. Looking ahead further into the future, however, and October will also bring a good deal of notable Netflix Originals.
It’s too soon for many of them to have specific release dates, but we can narrow them down to that specific month, at least. And so far, we know that October is set to deliver period dramas, horrors, sci-fi and projects from some of the best creators around.
See below for the full list of what Netflix has announced for the month so far:

With so many streaming services to choose from, it can often be difficult to find the right one to spend your hard-earned dough on. That being said, Hulu has remained among the most exciting and content-heavy platforms alongside Netflix, really cementing itself as one of the most appealing options out there in recent years thanks to its collection of original content and very, very deep library of licensed films.
Like every other streaming service, they bring us new titles every month and July is looking to be quite a good one. Especially if you’re a horror fan. Admittedly, Hulu has always been pretty reliable when it comes to this particular genre, and that’s a reputation they seem intent to keep, as next month will bring us the likes of The Devil’s Rejects, Freddy vs. Jason, Freddy’s Dead: The Final Nightmare, House of 1000 Corpses, The Ninth Gate, The House That Jack Built...

Perhaps the most exciting piece of content coming to Hulu in July 2020 is…a movie? Remember those? You would buy a ticket and then go sit in a dark room with other people eating Buncha Crunch. Sounds wild!
Yes, more and more feature films are turning to streaming services for their summer releases. And with their list of new offerings for July 2020, Hulu got itself a big fish. Palm Springs is a Groundhog Day-style comedy starring Andy Samberg and Cristin Milioti as star-crossed lovers forced to live the same day over and over again. It premieres on Hulu on July 10.
And that’s not the only original movie coming to Hulu in July. Romanian crime thriller The Whistlers premieres on July 2. Sasheer Zamata comedy The Weekend follows on July 15. Then Hulu caps the month off with the Julia Garner-starring The Assistant on July 20. There’s good movie news...

With so many streaming services available now, it can often be hard to pick the right one to spend your hard-earned money on. However, Hulu has remained among the most successful and content-heavy platforms alongside Netflix and has only gotten better with age. Whereas it had very few worthwhile movies years ago, now it often has some of the best films you can find to watch, and they’re offered up alongside brand new episodes of shows from various major networks. Like every other streaming service, Hulu updates their content throughout each month, and July is looking to add quite a lot of good stuff.

Castle was a huge fan favorite, but by the time the show reached season 8, it seemed no one was happy.
There were rumors of infighting behind the scenes, which led to fewer and fewer scenes filmed between the two leads.
Then Castle’s lead and supporting actresses (Stana Katic and Tamala Jones) were shockingly fired weeks before Castle Season 8 ended!
Fans were outraged, so much so that they began sending coffee sleeves to ABC with messages such as #SaveCaskett and #CancelCastle. Coffee was a symbol of love and affection between the two characters throughout the series.
The show’s fans wanted the series canceled rather than have it go on without their favorite couple.
What other show has had its diehard shippers root for its demise rather than see the series-long love story end and its main couple left to bleed out on the floor?
The fans got their wish.

KollywoodDetails about this project are expected to be out soon.Digital NativeVeteran filmmaker Mahesh Bhatt had announced some time ago that he will be venturing into the digital space with a web series that will be biographical on the life of a late actor. The filmmaker pointed out that the web series would trace out the story of a struggling filmmaker with a top-ranked actress of 1970s. This gave rise to the speculation that it would be based on his rumored romance with the late actor Parveen Babi. The latest we hear about this web series from a Mathrubhumi report is that Amala Paul has been roped in to play the legendary heroine and it will mark her debut in the digital platform. Details about this project are expected to be out soon. Amala Paul’s last film to release was Aadai, which was certified A by the censor board.

From Battery-Powered Sets to Finessing Craft Service, How Hollywood Is Reducing Its Carbon Footprint
For a town whose cultural climate can be rife with toxicity, exclusion and abuse, you’d be surprised by how organized and cooperative Hollywood has become in combating climate change.
At least that’s what Variety found when surveying the carbon footprint of modern show business — specifically in terms of producing film and television content at home on Los Angeles studio lots and on locations around the world.
While creators and executives have come under fire in recent months for failing to make movies that address the global climate crisis, they are taking steps to make their productions more eco-friendly. It’s a moment that’s seen bitter competitors join hands to establish a set of best practices that help reduce emissions and encourage sustainability.
“We work closely with our peers at other studios because we share the same filmmakers, the same crews, the same vendors,” Shannon Bart, sustainability director of NBCUniversal,...

The trio of new titles is expected to battle for second place this weekend in the $9 million to $16 million range as counter-programmers while moviegoers remain focused on Disney-Marvel’s “Avengers: Endgame,” which opened with a stunning $357 million last weekend. At the fingertips of Diederik Van Rooijen’s horror, The Possession of Hannah Grace, is an engaging, ghoulish and terrifying prospect of intense atmospheric horror with a terrific setting to inject some superb frights. That said, it becomes quite painful to report that within the first ten minutes of the films short eighty-six-minute running time it fails to convince the audience what you’re watching is actually nightmarish, nor express the quality of horror it has at hand. Ultimately, Rooijen’s film with every opportunity takes the easiest and most simplistic conventional avenue possible with so little inventive cinematic narratives or attributes examined, leading to a deeply unimaginative picture.

Warner Bros.’ “Aquaman” stayed atop the charts for a third straight weekend with an estimated $30 million total. That pushes the DC film’s domestic run to $259.7 million, 6 percent behind the domestic pace set by “Wonder Woman” in 2017.
Overseas, “Aquaman” has been a record-setting hit since it was released in China one month ago. With a running total of over $650 million, it is now the highest grossing overseas release in DC history, passing the $636 million made by “The Dark Knight Rises” in 2012. In the next few days, “Aquaman” will also pass “Tdkr” in the international total, becoming Warner Bros.’ first billion-dollar hit in six years and the first not released by Disney or Universal since summer 2014. The current global total is $940 million.
