Six years after the events of "Wreck-It Ralph," Ralph and Vanellope, now friends, discover a wi-fi router in their arcade, leading them into a new adventure.
Production was put on hold for a year after the film's director, Rich Moore, was called upon to co-direct Zootopia (2016) in March 2015, alongside Byron Howard and Jared Bush.
Jeez Lousie. This place is bonkers!
Buzz Lightyear: To infinity... and beyond!
Vanellope: Aw, come on. Princesses and cartoon characters? Lame.
Eeyore: easy there.
Vanellope: Oh I mean, no offense or anything.
Vanellope: Well, time to get to work.
Vanellope tells Ralph they shouldn't play TRON because it has a "virus". Coin-operated games don't get viruses because they aren't connected to the internet. They have "bugs" in the software. This mistake was likely deliberate to create continuity in terminology and foreshadow the effects a virus has on a game.
There is a scene in the closing credits: Ralph and Vanellope crash a child's Pancake Milkshake game on her iPad.
The Indonesian release cuts the post-credit scene out, due to the country not being familiar with "Never Gonna Give You Up".
