A young man and his three younger siblings, who have kept secret the death of their beloved mother in order to remain together, are plagued by a sinister presence in the sprawling manor in which they live.
This is Sergio G. Sánchez's directorial debut. However, he has previously written for films such as The Impossible (2012) and The Orphanage (2007), both Directed by J.A. Bayona, who is also a producer of this film.

In the last scene with Jack sitting on the porch with Allie, her right hand position fluctuates from gently rubbing on the back of his neck during close-ups of Jack, to resting still on his shoulder in shots of them together.
