Very nice movie
The story goes around Júlio Santana, a small, rural town boy, turned into a hitman, by a twist of fate.
The movie shows Santana as a real person, not a killing machine, with no heart or feelings...
Some say this movie is all about choices, and that's true... the choice of killing or not killing, the choice of having riches and a wealthy life, and taking lifes, or having a modest living, without blood on his path.
There's doubt, sin, and redemption, in different phases of this movie, and that makes the main character "likeable", eventhough we may question some "life choices".
The pacing of the movie is good, there isn't a single dull moment in this movie, and, eventhough I would like to see more killing, the ones showed, are good enough for a "bloodhound" like me.
There's violence, there's blood, there's romance, there's drama... there's a bit of everything here...
...And that shows why brazilian cinema has such potential, in the "post- Elite Squad" age.
Try it, you won't be disapointed at all...
