In Moody's room (where he received his birthday present) two paintings are visible. The one on the left is Giuseppe Arcimboldo's 'The Summer' (1563), the one on the right is Arcimboldo's 'Spring' (same year). Arcimboldo painted the portraits in what is called "double images paintings" in which a main image is created with other items, in this case, the figure of a face is built with pieces of plants, flowers, etc. It could represent double nature in both main characters: assassins and regular law-abiding citizens.

This film was shot in Bulgaria, Vietnam and Romania.

In Moody's basement ops room, and in the back (computer ops) room of the laundry there are the same maps on the wall. The maps are of the Tigris river at Al Kut in Iraq.

Despite Maggie Q being the protagonist, Michael Keaton is the first to appear in the credits.

Both Michael Keaton and Maggie Q have had roles in the DC Universe. Keaton played the title role of Batman in Batman (1989) and Batman Returns (1992), while Maggie voiced Diana Prince aka Wonder Woman in Young Justice (2010).

Michael Keaton said he has never played a role like this.

When Taj Atwal's character says to Anna that the cat "Spent most of the time hanging out with Proust" she is nodding to Marcel Proust, the french novelist, and author of 'À la Recherche du Temps Perdu' (In Search of Lost Time). In the novel, memory is central to the plot because of the recollections of the narrator's childhood, and in this film, Anna's recollections of things past are a recurring theme.
