Dylan Postl and Jason 'Wee Man' Acuña were two of the many little-people actors who wanted to play the Dwarfs in this movie.
Following comments by Peter Dinklage alleging the original film depicted the dwarfs in a negative light, Disney announced on January 25, 2022, that they would approach the characters differently, while also consulting members of the dwarfism community. Many fans of the original including Dylan Postl pointed out that many of Dinklage's remarks were incorrect. For one, he said the dwarfs lived in a cave. They actually lived in a very nice cottage and worked in a diamond mine.
The architecture of the townhouses near the castle resembles that of the architectural styles of the Hesse region in Germany, which is where The Brothers Grimm (who published the original Snow White story) were from.
This adaptation marks the longest interval between a Disney animated film and its live-action remake, with nearly 88 years separating the 1937 original and the 2025 release.
The "Snow White" storybook is in French. The Snow White fairytale, though it originated in Germany, became widely popular in France and Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs (1937) was given great acclaim and popularity in that country.
