  • Harmony Films out of England tends to release all-sex videos, which work based on sexy ladies and stylish direction. This effort by director Scarlett Revell suffers from pretentiousness, building up a story line and some characters but dropping the ball (apart from XXX content) along the way.\

Skin Diamond stars and tends to dominate the picture, as a crazy woman at an asylum in a strait jacket, with some mumbo jumbo plot concerning her erotic fantasies. Not surprisingly, the show boils down to the usual Harmony sex vignettes despite its ostensible feature film structure, because Revell fails to develop any of the plot threads.

Styling of the actresses, in terms of make-up and hairdos, is the best thing in the picture, beginning with a very striking look for Celeste Star and Adrianna Luna as a pair of asylum nurses who torment Diamond and then bring her to multiple orgasms. Celeste even uses that BDSM took, a violet wand, to shock the girl in all the right places.

An unsung favorite of mine, Jayden Lee, is terrific, oddly resembling here the great mainstream actress Sandra Oh. In one of her later roles, Brooklyn Lee also benefits from exciting makeup, while lesser-known Mae Meyers displays a perfect, natural figure.

I wish the notion of Skin's madness had gone somewhere, rather than merely serving as an excuse to set-up the usual porn scenes. So count Ms. Revell among the underachievers currently prevalent on the Adult Cinema scene (her predecessor at Harmony, the unequaled Tanya Hyde, was certainly an overachiever in this genre).
