A spin-off title focusing on the 'Gwent' card game from The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt (2015). It introduces a multiplayer mode and expands upon the game slightly, adding many new cards and some new mechanics.

For legal reasons, no audio clips from the previous games could be used as archive sound, so cast members had to record new lines for the characters. Consequently, some roles were recast because the actors who originally performed them were no longer available.
