My 1.5 yr old is obsessed with this show. He constantly asks for "babies". It is a cute show and is reminescent of the original cartoon I watched as a child. Summer is a cute new addition to the show. I love that Rolf, Bunsen, & Bieker have all visited the playroom. The episodes are just long enough for the Disney Junior crowd and my son really likes the songs too. Pay attention to Miss Nanny's tights- they always have a pattern that has to do with the theme of the episode.

But then I started genuinely laughing at some of the jokes, and now I actually kinda unironically like it????? The voice acting is amazing, the animation is great, and it has lots of lessons for the kids & humor that apparently adults can appreciate. Really great family show for sure.

vindfx8 April 2020My preschool age kids enjoy this show and get a kick out of me telling them I watched the original as a kid. I tried having them watch the original show too but they prefer the new one and who could blame them, it's much prettier to look at. Like the original, this show helps kids use their imagination. The only thing I don't like about this show is the new character, Summer. She is a flat, boring character with none of the wacky ness of the original muppets. I get they wanted to add another female character to balance the ratio but she's no muppet.

Why is this appropriate content for 4-7 yr olds? Where does disney come off introducing these conversations without parental consent? Lost my business in every aspect.

camerdude23 April 2018The music is great and it is refreshing to see a show that focuses on imaginative play rather than the normal analytical edutainment shows for this age group tend towards. Not that there is anything wrong with the occasional counting and shape identification sidebars, but it's great to have a show focus more on imagination and emotions. And the do it very well with beautiful animation and music.

I guess I should give the show a much higher rating, since it makes my young children loose all interest in watching TV. My 5 year old told me listening to it made his ears bleed. I would have to agree. I loved the original when I was a kid, and as a mom I can listen and watch most of the programs my young ones love. But this grating mess of a show is just awful! I have older kids who watched Backyardigans, which is full of music and imagination. It was a wonderful program they we all loved to dance and sing to. I guess the Muppet babies is trying to do the same thing, but it fails in every way. I can't wait until it is off the roster.

It is awesome that shows I loved as a young child, like Duck Tails and Muppet Babies are being brought up so that I can watch with my young children. My 4 and 6 year old kids LOVE the Muppet Babies show. They say it is their new favorite show, and quite frankly it is mine as well. They don't sit through much, but we watch this show all the time and look forward to new episodes every Friday morning. They even asked to watch "grown up" Muppets, but they prefer watching the muppets as babies. Much cuter and the jokes are more relatable to young kids, and those of us who feel young at heart.

My daughter and I love the show. The original was my favorite as a kid and this version is hers. It's one of the few kids show I can watch without going crazy. It encourages imagination and has great music.

JBcritic6 May 2022This show is like nails on a chalk board. They have one good episode. Watch the pilot and then forget it exists. This show is like the sound of a garbage disposal. You hope it ends soon so you can resume normal life. Also FYI Gonzo is Trans in this show.

georg-syphers5 December 2021As a fan of the original who watched them as I grew up I had hoped to introduce my 5 year old son to the new one. Sadly this only shares the characters and name with the original. Gone are the zany fun, the delightful flashes of imagination, and the genuine understanding and organic feeling portrayal of what's important to young children, including their fears and interpersonal tension; in their place is formulaic agenda driven pablum with very little fun to be had. My son has happily sits through the original episodes my mother still has on VHS from when I was young and asks for them by name, but this new stuff couldn't keep his attention for more 5 minutes, and after watching them myself I can understand why. This show is just the latest in a long line of what I consider to be hate crimes against the Muppets by the Disney corporation, devaluing what made them fun and funny in favor of more writing by committee and agenda driven plot points. My kid already gets enough lectures from TV. He just wants something fun or actually educational.

arielsiere17 June 2022The six characters such as Kermit, Piggy, Fozzie, Gonzo, Animal and Summer are awesome and cute in my opinion they even remind me of Rugrats and The original Muppets (2011) and their sequel Muppets Most Wanted they're own show called Muppets Now and their reboot is cool just like the Ducktales (2017) reboot and The Animaniacs (2020) reboot and way better than The PowerPuff Girls (2016) reboot this show only had 3 seasons and even bring the material from the normal franchise.
