I had a lot of fun watching this movie. The description literally says that it's goofy high-school detectives-- you have to understand that it's going to be silly. Each character was individually charming and well-written, the movie was well-directed, and everyone who was a part of that project is incredibly talented. Give it a watch and don't listen to that unnecessarily scathing reviewer!
Also, the actor who plays Link is real cute. Just saying.

"Debunkers, Inc" is very family friendly. The thought that kept coming to mind was that - this film reminds me of the Saturday series 'The Inspectors' about college kids interning for the Inspector General's office of the Postal Service- or something like that. Only in style, campiness and very soft drama. Only with "Debunkers, Inc" there is a direct link to the Scooby Doo concept.
The story and overall intend is a cute, simple adventure mystery with an element of paranormal activity which sets up this group of high schoolers for a chance to show their skills. It's murder mystery in a very benign way, There is no violence and the film never gets anywhere close to thriller territory. It is all mid-morning weekend i/e approved.
The acting is disjointed and a bit too theatrical, which if the whole concept would have been to go camp, would have been okay. But the supporting cast and a lot of the situational stuff stays bland and straight which creates a clunky, disenchantment air that causes the entertainment value to struggle to take off. Overall "Debunkers, Inc" is only going to appeal to a small, select audience. Like I said, that weekend mid-morning kiddie crowd. Unfortunately though, the movie never reaches it's inspired target as Scooby approved.

This movie is a well-written, well-directed project by a high school crew. It's no Endgame, but for its pay grade and the age of it's directing members, its a marvelous piece of film that strives to be pure cinema. The director has a bright future ahead of him. Good choice by the producer. Keep up the good work and don't let some salty students get you down!
"Debunkers Inc" not only falls short in the authenticity department with Ryan Andrews' questionable Russian accent but also stumbles into problematic territory with its treatment of gender dynamics. The film's portrayal of its female intern raises concerns about perpetuating stereotypes and reinforcing outdated, sexist tropes.
The character dynamics involving the female intern are troubling, as she appears to be little more than a pawn at the mercy of her male counterparts. Instead of presenting a progressive and respectful depiction of women in the workplace, "Debunkers Inc" regrettably chooses to perpetuate tired stereotypes, where the female intern is relegated to a subordinate role, bossed around without agency.
This sexist undertone undermines the potential for the film to contribute to a more inclusive and equitable narrative landscape. The female intern's character seems to exist solely for the convenience of the male leads, contributing to a narrative that patronizes and diminishes the role of women in professional settings.
In an era where audiences are increasingly critical of gender representation in media, "Debunkers Inc" misses an opportunity to challenge stereotypes and instead reinforces harmful clichés. It is crucial for filmmakers to recognize the impact their choices can have on societal perceptions and to strive for more nuanced and empowering portrayals of female characters.
While "Debunkers Inc" may have its moments, the combination of a problematic Russian accent and a regressive portrayal of gender dynamics leaves a bitter aftertaste. It is my hope that future productions will approach character dynamics with more sensitivity, recognizing the importance of breaking away from harmful stereotypes and fostering a more inclusive and respectful cinematic landscape.

What is perhaps most concerning about this movie is that somebody actually funded it. Whoever it may have been, they should give serious consideration to their investment decisions before giving money to a fool like Ryan Andrews. It's likely their dollar would be better spend elsewhere and, in this case, it's almost certain they would have been more fortunate investing their money on a trip to the Moon. What's clear is that Ryan Andrews has outdone himself with this farcical, inferior excuse for a movie, which should be nothing sort of a massive red flag for any intended film production with him attached.
