What a spooky film from Brazil! This is second feature film from director Gabriela Amaral, and also the second in the same horror genre (although with different styles, distinct sub-genres), excellent as the first one. She is extremely skillful in transmitting a scary atmosphere, with dark humor subtle moments. The usage of noises, objects, everything is very well done in order to create that creepy atmosphere. Nine-year old Nina Medeiros has an amazing performance in the leading role, and Luciana Paes, who acted also in Animal Cordial (the first film by Gabriela Amaral), is fantastic too. I only think that if the father's scenes in the workplace were slightly reduced the movie would be more balanced and better paced. Though, it is a quite amusing horror film just like it has been cut anyway.
