Paired with the lesser "Christmas Wish", "Christmas Spirit" is an effective revamping of "A Christmas Carol" with lesbian content. Score one in the plus column for Stills & Mills.
Reena Sky, a secret weapon in the Girlsway talent stable, stars as the scrooge of the all-girl saga, quite mean-spirited when her step-daughter Shyla Jennings brings her BFF over for the holiday, and announces they plan to get married. Acknowledging sexual experimentation back in her college days (surely the most frequently trotted-out cliché in all of Lesbian Cinema), Sky's the limit, putting her foot down and criticizing her kid, while giving the lover, lovable Elle Alexandra, more than a mere cold shoulder.
This sets in motion the familiar tale, with 3 ghosts appearing to Reena that night, showing her the error of her ways. All 3 are played by Charlotte Stokely, completely unrecognizable under SPFX makeup.

The gimmick in Bree Mills & Lucy J's story is that Sky gets a life- altering Mulligan, able to relive the scene where Shyla came out of the closet with her engagement revelation, and the second time Reena is all sweetness and light, welcoming Elle into her family with open arms.
And that's how it should be, as this 3-part Lesbian porn feature must inevitably culminate in a threesome with crypto-incest (all people have step-mothers or step-sisters in these 21st Century pornos).
Sky is so delightful a performer I was easily won over by this fable, and all three players, especially young veteran (now over 30) Shyla Jennings, are terrific at Sapphic humping.
Less enthralling is the 76-minute second feature filling out the 2-disk DVD package. "Christmas Wish" stars the unique Rayveness, step-mom (what else?) to sexy jail-bait Jenna Reid. There's much emphasis on the fact that they aren't blood relations, as this padded 2-parter is simply about Ray seducing the kid, something she's done an uncountable number of times in Girlfriends Films features, the same company that distributes this package. Director 'Stills by Alan' pops up ever so briefly as the kid's daddy named Javier.
These sex stories have a peculiar charm about them, typified by Ray's early line of dialog when she grumpily says "Merry f*cking Christmas to you, too". It seems that inverting the holiday spirit brings out the best in pornographers, ranging from Alan and Bree in this pairing to another unexpected winner, British pornographer Kenneth Docherty (aka Kendo) and his "Kendo's Merry Christmas".
