  • Sara Luvv is terrific in James Avalon's second volume of this series for Sweet Sinner. I hope the veteran auteur returns to the fold, currently lost in the wilderness of shooting those lazy all-sex videos for SS's parent company Mile High.

Story is relatively complex for the label, which often has simple, direct situations as a springboard for its requisite four sex vignettes, designed for individual streaming by subscribers to its website.

It basically boils down to something of a battle of wills between young Luvv and her estranged mother, superbly played by India Summer. Summer's #1 leading man Steven St. Croix is cast as a fellow psychotherapist to wife India, and her daughter Sara is also interested in scientific pursuits, studying anthropology. All hell breaks loose when they're under one roof, and Avalon sorts out the sexual and psychological enmities with aplomb.

Making a strong impression is Tomi Taylor as one of St. Croix's patient, with shrink's couch turning into something of a casting couch. The DVD's bonus BTS segment has Tomi announcing her very early retirement from the porn wars, but this is a fine swan song.

This is an excellent example of how Sweet Sinner rises above the pack - just compare the consistent great performances by these leads in shows for the label, as opposed to their recent work for others.
