I was sincerely interested to learn more about Trump's background. Sadly, this was predictably hysterical in places and misleading in others. There was a place for his father's exploitation of commercial opportunities and accusations of racially profiling tenants, but when he was not found to have broken the law there is a limit to what can be extrapolated, let alone about the son(when by accounts he was expressly against the practice). There might even be a place for Trump's belief he inherited special qualities, but to leave the unsubtle whiff of something menacing is unjustified, particularly as it was connected to his brother, whom he has been nothing but admiring of. It is important to hear from his critics, but when there are no admirers it is impossible to take the investigation seriously. I hoped for more and I think there is more to understand, but it will need to be explored by someone smarter and more objective that Frei, who is relentless in his pursuit of affirming his own bias.

I wanted to see a documentary about Trump, not someones opinion how how evil the man and his family is. This documentary is more for political power than for history. If I wanted to be told how evil he is, I would open a newspaper. According to this, the whole family has never done one right thing and everything is about exploitation, racism and pushing America as a whole down the drain. This is more of an opinion story than a documentary.

I was looking for an objective, unbiased, fact-based documentary. This movie is nothing more than a farcical, political hit job. On the upside, I now know who produces movies that are called documentaries and I can avoid anything put out by these people. Additionally, I can avoid anything that calls itself factual yet includes any of these "experts". Thanks for that...I guess. Beyond this, I have nothing positive to say. Don't waste your time. Wait a few years and see if an actual documentary comes out. You're welcome for the couple of hours I saved you. Caveat for reader: I did not vote for Trump, so I feel my review is credible and unbiased.

FRHathorn194930 July 2020I find the most of the other reviews posted 1 star because they are fans of Trump. I did not find this that biased. I found it an interesting history of the family. Have watched several documentaries on Trump and this one covers the grandfather's history in more detail and I found it fascinating. It's very watchable and I saw it as more of a historical background on Trump's parents and grandparents than anything. Watch it if you like family history. His father was an opportunist, but knew how to make money. A trait he didn't pass on.

When referring to Donald Trumps father building government houses the narrator says " The gist of the scam was, to charge more than it cost to build the houses, then pocket the rest." Oh really? Isn't that called making a profit? Was he to build the houses for free? Do any of us go to work and expect no pay? His father was found innocent of any wrong doing in federal court. This documentary twists most everything the Trumps accomplished in this direction. I only give it 3/10 for its more neutral beginning in describing the Trump family in the every beginning.

There is no objective material in it, just anti-Trump slanderers doing their best hatchet job on everyone named Trump, going back generations and making up stories with little if any facts. It's no secret that Hollyweird turned against Trump once he ran for president and this pitiful demonstration is absolute proof of it.

Total garbage! What happened to the unbiased presentation of information so that a viewer can form their own opinions.

Most of the information seemed to be backed up with facts,and I did not perceive any bias in the telling of the story. Unlike other biased reviewers of this documentary, I found it to be both informative and entertaining.
