  • Watching dozens of Kendo-directed videos book-ended by his newer stuff and strictly fetish genre material of a decade back, I think he was on the right track in his original mode. Like many a Chatsworth counterpart here in the States, over-praise and hyped feedback led the man, real name: Kenneth Docherty, astray into pretentiousness.

This is basic fetish/bondage content, with Tanya Hyde's right-hand man Freddie Morse handling the lighting here. Top-notch British femmes of the day are recruited for the kinky doings, and all of them acquit themselves well.

The late blonde bombshell Savannah Gold (billed under alternate moniker "Natalie Heck") teams up with superstar Poppy Morgan for a hot lesbian intro, loaded with gynecological close-ups, toys and fetish gear. It sets the stage for unrelenting kink, far better than the tame or lame Chatsworth product (think: Bruce Seven).

A variety of strange gas-mask designed masks are utilized by both female and male cast members, with long protruding elephant-trunk dildos coming out of the nose area, and put to good XXX use. It's all rather cold, befitting the dictates of the BDSM genre, but so well-performed that I would classify it under the heading of eroticism. This is definitely more in line with the arousal goal of Adult Cinema, rather than the merely "observe" style of pure bondage/fetish.

That Gold/Poppy opening segment is titled "Don't Play with Your Food", and while not funny (Kendo is strictly of the morbid, heavy school of filmmaking) it is almost amusing as the girls cover themselves with pears and other foodstuffs, inside and out.
