Really? What the hell did I just watch?

The first "Terminator" movie was a masterpiece "T2 Judgement Day" is one of the best movies of all time and had a perfect story anyone is alle to follow. Every other "Terminator" movie was unnecessary. It became more and more confusing and now they really destroyed the "Terminator" originals.

If you like Action movies, switch off your brain and forget the Terminator story.

If you expect one of the best Terminator-Films you really will be disappointed or even pi**ed off!

Trivia

James Cameron considers the film as a direct sequel to his own films The Terminator (1984) and Terminator 2: Judgment Day (1991). He was not involved in Terminator 3: Rise of the Machines (2003), Terminator Salvation (2009) and Terminator Genisys (2015), so Terminator: Dark Fate disregards the events of these films, as well as the short-lived TV series Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles (2008). In 2017, Cameron commented that he has been generally supportive of those films due to his close friendship with Arnold Schwarzenegger, but for various reasons, they did not work for him, so he decided to produce a true sequel himself. This means that Rise of the Machines, Salvation, Genisys and Sarah Connor Chronicles are being described as occurring in alternate timelines.

Quotes

Sarah Connor: Children look like burnt paper. Black. Not moving. And then the blast wave hits them. And then they fly apart like leaves.
Dr. Silberman: Dreams of cataclysm, the end of the world are very common.
Sarah Connor: It's not a dream, you moron. It's real. I know the date it happens.

Goofs

Rev-9 uses nanobots to control machines but does attempt not use them to reprogram the T-800 Terminator nor Grace's cybernetic enhancements.

  • Legion and Cyberdyne machines are foreign technology to each other, Also the Rev-9 never showed that it had the ability to control machines when not connected to a source linked to satellite. Grace is augmented with Legion tech, she's not a machine.

Crazy Credits

The opening logos have VHS fuzz over them. In addition, the Paramount Pictures and 20th Century Fox logos briefly flash their versions from 1995.

Alternate Versions

In India, the film received a U/A (equivalent to the PG-13 rating) after some nudity was cut. A disclaimer requesting viewer discretion during the violent scenes that "can be disturbing to watch" was also added.
