I'm just re-watching the second season and am laughing out loud at lots of bits in it. (A couple of years back, I watched the second season before watching the first. It was only after I'd watched the first season that I really warmed to this.)

If you like Liam Williams' performance, then you may also find this amusing. But if you don't warm to him, you'll likely find the whole thing irritating.

I'm not sure who this is aimed at. Given it was made for BBC II! (BBC THREE), it's presumably aimed at a younger audience, but I suspect it works best if you're old enough to remember a time before social media.

'I don't think this is aimed at us', said the missus when we saw this. But who is it aimed at? Oldies (which in this case, you would hope, means anyone over 30) won't give a monkey's about this online wannabe world, so ridiculous that it is really beyond satire. And youngies (I fear) will be saying, 'Yes? And?' - they won't see anything strange or funny about it. So both sides are likely to take it more as documentary than spoof.

Tbh (see? I can use trendy abbreviations) the lead himself seems already too old to be plittering about with this nonsense.

PS There ought to be a word for the type of show starring someone called Liam, but 'created' by someone called Olly(!). 'Chavface'? It's appropriation if you ask me...

Whilst a very clever mockumentary quite brilliantly realised by Liam Williams it could not ultimately rise above its subject matter.

The bloggers world is vapid and mostly full of morons lacking any skill or talent. With that as a given why would we feature these guys or give credence or analysis to their doggerel thoughts.

Lastly the virtue signalling, the on trend flexing and liberal authoritarianism does not make for comedy gold.

In summation I just did not laugh enough, it was too clever and the humour was slightly repetitive.

The writing was brilliant but needs to focus on a more deserving topic, no more of this please.
