  • Warning: Spoilers
As you know I've finally been able to watch Shimajiro and the Rainbow Oasis 2017 on my Windows 7 PC computer.

This is a live action and animated film. It starts off with the singing Trees and then we meet 2 turtle announcer puppets and we see the people in their character costumes like Sesame Street.

It's about Shimajiro the tiger and his tiger sister Hana who get muddy from playing outside and they go in to eat food but Shimajiro's mother gets mad at him while Shimajiro's Father goes easy on him and Shimajiro runs away from home and goes to visit Dr. Roarson the lion scientist inventor who shows off his invention the tunneling robot bug and Shimajiro, Flappie the parrot bird, Nikki the cat and Mimi-Lynne the white rabbit goes on a trip by tunneling under the Earth and they end up stranded on a Desert and Dr. Roarsons machine is broken down and he calls Shimajiro's mother on a cell phone.

Shimajiro and his 3 friends, meets the desert Fox named Coco who was separated from her mother in a Sandstorm. They meet Coco and they ride a leaf hoverboard and they get safely to the other side but Shimajiro nearly got eaten by a crocodile. They continue their journey meeting the giant rattlesnake who turned out to be friendly snake and they meet the Rapper MC Spike and the cactus gang puppets and the scorpion and 3 rock creatures and the lone turtle.

Shimajiro and his friends finally reached the oasis where Coco's mother is in danger of the crocodile eating her, then the Giant Old Dung Beetle is rolling a ball of mud or poop towards the oasis, Dr. Roarson holds the Old Dung Beetle off and the crocodile runs away and Shimajiro saves the Mother Fox and the ball of mud or poop rolls down and crashes into the oasis and it causes a rainstorm to happen and it rains down in the desert and the flowers grow and a rainbow appears in the sky. Then Dr. Roarson's machine converts into a flying bug machine and they are taken home to their parents.

I have to warn you Shimajiro fans, if you plan on seeing this on DVD, you'll want to own either a region free DVD player or play it on Windows 7, 8 or 10 PC and you may have to set it to region 2 or region 3 depending on which DVD version you own. If you live in the UK or Greenland and have a Region 2 version you'll be able to watch it with no problems,

However if you live in America like me or in Canada, good luck finding a DVD player that's region free or fiddle the settings to region 2 or watch it on a PC computer with a Disc drive or see it on Amazon Prime Japan video. Also this film is entirely in Japanese so you'll need to learn Japanese or you won't understand a word they're saying, or in region 3 version there's Korean subtitles but you'll need to learn Korean. There's very few English lines.

It's too bad there isn't an English dub available or a region 1 DVD or Blu-ray available for America, Canada as the English audience is missing out on this fun Shimajiro Anime film.
