PG-13 | | Drama, Horror, Mystery
In a post-apocalyptic world, a family is forced to live in silence while hiding from monsters with ultra-sensitive hearing.
The first proper line of dialogue isn't spoken until about 38 minutes into the film.
It. Won't. Work.
The scene in the grain bin when the kids are sinking into the corn is way off the mark. And while that is a danger (usually fatal), the only way a person sinks like that is when the grain is being removed from the bottom of the bin. That's when a person is drawn down and suffocated. If the grain is stationary, there is no danger of sinking like that.
The main title appears after about nine minutes, created to look as though it is made from sand, and is the only on-screen credit aside from the opening production logos.
