Audrey and Morgan are best friends who unwittingly become entangled in an international conspiracy when one of the women discovers the boyfriend who dumped her was actually a spy.
The French-dubbed versions used the same title, but with one word which differs: the France-dubbed version is named "L'Espion qui m'a larguée" while the Quebec-dubbed version is named "L'Espion qui m'a dompée", the word "dompée" is an anglicism based on the English word "dumped", which means "abandoned".

In one scene, five black CIA cars are travelling along an empty road towards the camera. When we cut back to the road, they are travelling away from the camera, but clearly just driving back they way they had come (i.e. in the opposite direction).
The title appears on-screen after almost 10 minutes and there are no opening credits. The end credits go on for more than eleven minutes, with two sequences shown during them.
