Perfunctory lesbian short vignettes, low on impact
The title suggests something more, perhaps clever or even engrossing short stories, but instead "Bedtime Stories" emerges as generic lesbian porn, with professional (if mainly no-name) actresses but zero creativity from the anonymous filmmakers.
The four lengthy vignettes basically have a couple of chicks schmoozing and then humping, with trivial set-ups, none of which could be legitimately called a story. And the promise of fanciful material ("bedtime stories" translates to fantasy or even horror/suspense in the literary world) is wholly absent. Camera-work and editing are amateurish.
A couple of talented actresses are wasting there time here: Veronica Rayne is saddled with an unattractive and inexpressive partner Drew Armani in the opening segment, merely two gals in blue jeans, with one comforting the other over boyfriend problems. Overall, the video is not a man-hating exercise but like many Sapphic genre pictures the need to address the absence of males on screen seems to be a crutch for discussion, rather than merely ignore it and go full speed ahead to the lovemaking.
Hardly a cult figure yet deserving of one, Veronica Jett finishes the feature with an exceedingly dull game of "Truth or Dare" with gonzo performer Sierra Sinn, and little heat is generated in either scene.
