Polarized Opinions
I plan to see the movie tomorrow, but reading the user reviews reminds me of our current political climate...a polarized nation. It seems people either loved or hated this film. This film is not a phony, bombastic Hollywood action thriller, it's real life. Real life isn't filled with non-stop action, constant intrigue and perpetual interest. I'm considering that Eastwood found this story compelling from the standpoint of contrast. To live a terrorist event would certainly disrupt most people's mundane life. Put yourself in the shoes of the heroes. Imagine being on vacation somewhere enjoying yourself then being suddenly thrown into a life-or-death situation. That's what I plan to do. The mundane makes the event more intense.
