Okay movie, great shots I love the scenes shown especially the LRT scenes but MEH story, it looks a bit rushed and forced. The dialogues between characters are bland, The story seems uninteresting at all. I think we don't need a follow up sequel for "Ang Kwento Nating Dalawa". Great acting by the cast though.
  • The plot is strong and the actors portrayed the characters in the most compelling way. The cinematography and soundtrack is also on point.
  • Wont recommend it to anyone. I dont know why this is in Netflix but you will definitely waste your time.
  • Similar to the 1st one, the approach is very personal and real. It's a great sequel for an indie film. It makes you feel like you're actually watching genuine human interactions, no romantic drama like the big flicks.

Great songs too from local artists.

But again, you really need to watch the first one, Ang Kwento Nating Dalawa.

Actually they seem like not acting, 98% of it are all natural. One specific example is Emman Nimedez, - he performed here like how he is in his vlogs. - seem like they put a lot of effort on getting every cast comfortable with each other.
  • I've been meaning to watch this movie since it was released but I didn't had the chance to watch it on its premiere in the cinemas. Good thing they released it on Netflix. I liked its prequel, "Ang Kwento Nating Dalawa" and I had high hopes for this sequel. This movie has an outstanding cinematography and aesthetics. They did a great job with the color hues and perspectives, very pleasing to the eyes. Something that I love in most Filipino indie movies. The story is very realistic although the script and acting is above average. I expected both to be strong and heartfelt. Nevertheless, the actors were still able to portray great personalities. All in all, it's a good movie with a good soundtrack! If you appreciate indie, you'll like this.

The storyline was cliche and predicable but i thought well ok let's give this a try because it had that indie film feel to it. unfortunately the two main characters Isa and Sam didnt have any chemistry. they should have casted Alex Medina as Sam because Nicco Manalo seemed so awkwardly intimidated by Emmanuelle Vera. the whole movie was a bore but the first half of the film was extra boring, the only reason i kept watching was because of Vera's beautiful face.

the buildup to the chance encounter of these past lovers was so weak i kept waiting for something more to happen but there was nothing. it didnt help that the writer never gave the viewers a glimpse of Isa and Sam's past relationship which would at least give some justification as to why they were still pining for lost love. instead the viewers were asked to simply accept that Isa and Sam had something great based on dialogues exchanged during a brief confrontation.

i keep giving these kinds of Filipino movies a chance but more often than not, they disappoint. overall it was a total waste of Alex Medina's talent as a great actor. the only silver lining to this movie is that both female actors Vera and Anna Luna are equally stunning.

    Warning: Spoilers
One thing to note is that I hated the first movie. I thought it was boring and took to long to make its point. But damn, it sure made a perfect setup for this one. All the subtlety, even when it seems like nothing is happening, builds tension and actually drives the story. Knowing the history of the characters gives things meaning and delivers a certain level of anxiety - and that is a good thing.

While the first movie makes some questionable cinematography decisions, this one pretty much nails it. Making use of just the right amount of camera work that's needed for the scene without coming off as pretentious like the first one did. The characters doesn't seem like caricatures anymore and are now fleshed out. These are living, breathing, flawed humans living in an imperfect world. They're relatable, realistic even. Props to all the actors. The film also does a good job of expanding the world just enough to understand it better yet still keeping it compact. The soundtrack is once again excellent. Montages bring emotions to the screen and it surely adds to the film's overall appeal.

All things aren't stellar though as I have my reservations about the film's climactic blow-off. To say that it came from left field is an understatement. I mean, I knew it was coming eventually but... I'll just say there were other avenues for it. I like where it eventually went, but the path leading up to it was somewhat iffy.

Another thing to think of is if this could work as a standalone film? If I haven't seen the first movie, this wouldn't have been the same experience. But overall this movie does a great job redeeming itself from the pitfalls of the original. Learning lessons and improving upon it. The vagueness of the ending doesn't give enough of a resolution for the characters so does this mean there's a part 3?
  • I don't know if I didn't pay enough attention or the movie didn't introduce their cast properly. Different relationship, different people happens to met again and starting to remember their past? I really do give this movie a chance since I didn't really watch movie without familiar cast but no it was just not for me. Overall acting and cinematography was okay I'm just a little lost in the storyline.

The film don't disappoints. I have never seen the first movie but you would get that in the two sets of characters played interchangeably. Definitely one set had their moments together. This movie was sincere and honest in all aspects of broken love and getting lost in the relationship. I did not experience it personally but Ive felt it and cried as it was revealed. Definitely worth a watch.
