Well looks like Season 2 in unavailable in the USA so I'll be just using this review as a reminder for myself so when season 2 eventually does get released, I'll have a refresher on the first season.
Each episode shows a lake distinct in nature. The first episode is about Lake Nasser in Egypt, one of the largest man-made lakes in the world. The 2nd episode is about Lake Baikal, the oldest, deepest, and one of the most pure lakes in the world, found in Siberia . The 3rd episode is about the Tonle Sap, a river and lake system found in Cambodia, that not only happens to be the biggest freshwater lake in Southeast Asia, it also house a wide range of biodiversity, and a culture of people that lives according to how the water system is, with many of them living in floating huts. The 4th episode is about Lençóis Maranhenses National Park, a desert in Brazil that houses an underground lake that makes appearances every wet season. The 5th and final episode I've watched is about The Great Salt Lake that lies in Salt Lake City, Utah, a remnant of the Pleistocene era lake Lake Bonneville. It also happens to be one of the saltiest lakes in the world, which hosts many kinds of organisms for such a salty lake labeled America's Dead Sea.
It's a neat docuseries showing distinctly different lakes. Once season 2 is released, I'll give this a proper review.

Lakes,
I am a big enthusiast of the lakes and rivers but most of the documentaries available about the subjects only focus on the wild life in water. Not these, this series has touched every aspect related to a lake. be it the wild life, it's past and expected future, sources of water and outflows, lives of people living by and above all the brilliant cinematography.
They were successful to get me interested in the wild life of the lakes. And the selection of lakes is absolutely brilliant. They opted the lakes people don't know about very much.
An absolutely wonderful series, I hope and wish they make more like that.
