Englishman In LA is a coming-of-man story about a naive British writer navigating Hollywood when his romantic British novel is threatened to be turned into a cheesy action film.
This was a pretty good send-up of Hollywood. The execution didn't work for me, however. The acting performances were over-the-top, and the dialog was a little campy. I like a more realistic treatment of subject matter, but if your comedy sensibilities lean toward over-the-top, there is some good insight here.
