a surprisingly good show
First time i've heard about Homecoming was during a discussion about Hollywood A-stars flocking over to TV and stealing bread of lesser known artists. And since one can watch the show for free as Amazon Prime member i understood the complaints. However, if all resulting shows would be like Homecoming i wouldn't object. Yet it seems that big stars and big bucks don't always guarantee a quality product.
Homecoming is slow-paced but successfully compensates for that with short running time of the episodes of approximately half an hour. This slow burner starts fuming in episode five, blows up during episode six and offers a roller-coaster ride until end of episode eight. At that point i started wondering how they would possibly tie up the season knowing that two were commissioned. Therefore the last tow episode are slightly on the anti-climax side, although the season doesn't disappoint even then.
The main cast offers a great performance. For me the true hero was Bobby Cannavale who steals the show during every moment of his screen time.
So let's see what happens in Season 2.
