I know it's a TV show, and I'm supposed to suspend my disbelief, but this episode stretched my abilities to do so to the breaking point.
I am a parent, and cannot believe that a parent in their right mind would EVER supply alcohol to a roomful of 16-17 year old kids, especially when said parent is so very, very focused on the success of their child's career in football. Poor choices are made by many parents, sure, but when you are hellbent on getting your child into college on a football scholarship, you wouldn't sabotage him by getting him arrested for underage drinking.
Speaking of underage drinking, Lou's son's drinking issue is hard to (pardon the pun) swallow. I have a really, really hard time believing that a coach would stay the expulsion of a student (or would even have that power) just so that student could warm the bench. More to the point, if my child had that bad of a drinking problem, I would probably not allow him to walk all over me like this kid does with his parents. I certainly wouldn't just stand there looking doe-eyed while he told me off and lied to my face.
This show had a lot of potential, but I think it squandered it with the last episode. It just wasn't good.
