Perfectly enjoyable

OK so it's not a 'great' series like The Wire or The Sopranos, but it's perfectly watchable. If you like Greys Anatomy then you'll probably like this as well - don't understand all the negative reviews at all.

The stories may not be realistic, (but neither are Greys Anatomy!) but if you want realism then watch a documentary, it's escapism, it's ENTERTAINMENT.

The comments about the acting seem unfair as well, again it's totally fine

So, in summary, if you don't like it then don't watch, but, for me, I'm enjoying it and will definitely continue to watch - taking it for what it is, a TV show where the actors just happen to be pretending to be fire fighters.

Really enjoy this show

I can't believe all of the negative reviews here for Station 19. Yes we have been lucky to have Chicago Fire which is epic so it did take me a while to get into Station 19. I am so happy though that I persisted, I really enjoy the cast and how different their relationships are with each other. I am a fan of Grey's Anatomy so that could be why I enjoy this show. I definitely look forward to my weekly installment and am never bored or disappointed. Go on give it a go and make up your own mind.

Why all the negatives?

Really can't understand why there is so many negatives towards this show!?

I'm really enjoying it and hope it continues! I love Chicago fire but both in their own way!

Love this show!!!

Shows relationships between firefighters and every day life situations and the diversity of people and conflict resolution. The situations they get into. One of the most entertaining shows I have watched. It has both awesome and heartbreaking moments that firefighters face in the line of duty and managing their lives at home as well. Love that they included Greys Anatomy with their mashups including characters between the two shows. If you love that show this is definitely a must watch! Sad that this will be the last season unfortunately as I seen an article saying that they will be able to make a good ending for the show for the last season.

Just stop

I used to Enjoy this show, It was entertaining easy to watch but these last two episodes I actually had to turn off. Shonda Rhimes constantly shoving her opinions of current events down our throats. I watch TV to be entertained to get away from the day-to-day drama of real life. If the show didn't cross over it Grey's Anatomy so often I probably would stop watching it all together. But even Greys is starting to annoy me now like I said go back to sleeping in on-call rooms together and performing surgeries that no one has ever heard of that's what I want to watch I don't want to hear about current events life is hard enough.

Hmmmmmm

Not quite Greys, but a hell of a lot better than I expected after reading the 1 star reviews.

Definitely potential.

My absolute all time favourite tv show

Station 19 is hands down favourite TV show! There's a reason it's ABC's top rated show! Not only are there gripping incidents that you see the team respond to but you also get a deep insight into each character. The characters are fully fleshed out, so multi-dimensional and with so many different layers to them.

A special shout out has to go to Maya and Carina and their relationship. It is the most beautiful relationship that provides not only incredibly important wlw representation but is also simply a privilege to watch. Danielle Savre and Stefania Spampinato are phenomenal actors and their chemistry is out of this world!

The show covers so many incredibly important topics and does so each time with sensitivity and authenticity.

Station 19 is the best! <3.

A very entertaining TV show that won my heart

Station 19 is without doubt one of the best TV shows I've ever seen. The characters, their stories, their cases as firefighters and paramedics are so entertaining that it had me hooked after a few episodes. All the characters had won my heart, especially Maya and Carina (hurts me so much because they deserve to be happy, please writers, let them be happy and not suffer) and I can't wait too see what's coming in the second part of S6. And to those who say that this TV show is not like the real life, then go watch a documental because a TV show is for entertaining, not showing how exactly is in real life, period.

It's actually good...

I didn't expect much, even for a Grey's anatomy spin off, but it's actually good. Station 19 has that fun and breezy vibe mixed with a ton of firefighter stuff. It's absolutely not Chicago Fire, but it has potential. Miranda Bailey makes a lot of appearances throughout the show, which keeps the feeling of a spin off, but it can definitely stand on its own. If you like Grey's, I believe that you can enjoy this. Don't get me wrong, Private Practice is a lot better, but Station 19 is a good Shonda Rhimes production FOR SURE.

Top Tier

Excellent drama, will watch for many years to come. The storylines the writers put together do an excellent job of highlighting each individual character's strengths and weaknesses to captivate the audience. Leaving off with season 6, I believe there are many avenues the writers can take this series yet. I believe this to be particularly true for the Marina storyline which has become many viewers favorite characters including my own. The acting in this series is also excellent and the chemistry between characters helps draw the viewers in. I am looking forward to watching this series for many more seasons!

Chicago Fire Wannabee Fails Miserably

Perhaps because 'Scandal' is coming to an end, and 'Grey's Anatomy' is in its 56th+ season, Shondra Rimes is looking for a new venture to undertake. If she's trying to turn Seattle into what Dick Wolf did with Chicago, 'Station 19' is a COLOSSAL fail.

Not only is the acting abysmal, the storylines are as well. Where 'Chicago Fire' is packed each week with firefighters/paramedics attending to car crashes, gas explosions, building fires, etc., ~ with the occasional romantic/personal situation thrown in, 'Station 19' is exactly the opposite ~ an hour long soap opera with the occasional fire related incident gratuitously worked into the plot line.

Note to Ms. Rimes: Just because you can, really doesn't mean you should. Gave a VERY generous 1* out of 10.

KEEPS GETTING BETTER WITH EVERY SEASON

Station 19 is a Grey's Anatomy spinoff that focuses on the lives and stories of BIPOC & LGBTQ characters. The representation of diverse races, genders, sexual orientations, and lived experiences is evident in its cast and crew which is rare and desperately needed on TV today. Further, the show expertly tackles multiple social and political issues through award-winning writing that leaves lasting impacts on their viewing audience. The cast is talented and immensely entertaining. This one is for those who look for action, drama, romance, friendships and family. If you loved Grey's Anatomy, this is even better.

Awful

I thought 9.1.1. was bad. This show is much worse. Totally unrealistic and insulting to firefighters.

So bummed

Wasn't a fan of this show at first, but being a die hard Grey's and Private Practice fan, I've stuck through it. At times there is dialogue and silly music that doesn't match the scene, which is the most annoying thing to me. Little bummed this show isn't up to par. There is some emotion here though. I am still watching the show!

Station 19 is a MUST

Despite being a spinoff, Station 19 has proved with both viewers and ratings that it has what it takes to hold its own. This show is not "just another firefighter show", nor is it another drama like Grey's. This show has a cast that is diverse in ways of race, ethnicity, culture, sexuality, etc. It showcases storylines that pushes boundaries of what society has typically deemed unacceptable to discuss on prime-time television- abortion, racial profiling, police brutality. It has representation of the most organic sapphic relationship of any television or movie I have ever seen. The chemistry between the two actors that play the characters of Maya and Carina are phenomenal at portraying the love between the two. The ups and downs, and everything in between, they are purely magic. This show is truly incredible. It should be continued on, and can definitely be watched independently of Grey's Anatomy so don't worry!

Entertaining

I have no problems with this show at all. I've only watched one show about firefighters before though so I'm not really experienced with this kind of show. I found it very entertaining and will be watching season 2. The characters are not extremely likable because we don't get to know them enough, but the cases are exciting enough to keep you on the edge of the seat. It's not a masterpiece but entertaining enough to wanna watch more.

Just great!

Is the best TV series I ever saw! They look like a big ,lovely family in front and beyond the camera. They made such a good team ,all of them and somehow 90% from what they wanted to transmit has gone after the screen. I 've feel it and I bet like me thousands people have feel the same. Thanks to all the crew for that, they gave to us thru the screen ,like a part of them. And is not just about acting,is more than that, they have put passion and soul in what they've done. And that is big thing. Not many series can do that. I think only a wonderful and very solid team with real bonds could do that. Station19 will always remains in my heart ❤ Station 19 Forever!

Good show but with a lot of political content

Started to watch show without any previous knowledge about connections with grey's anatomy. Show have good missions for both firefighters and medics and their friendship and relations are interesting enough. Show evolve from season to season so in general i like it. What i dont like is placing too much lgbt characters into just one station and making a female captain of the station is just forced too much. I respect capabilities of men and women, but senior position should be rightfully deserved not just make them because of some silly statistics. Anyway enjoy the show and evade some nonsense scenes as much as you can

If they were real firefighters, they would be fired.

It's a pain watching some of these episodes because these characters are utterly incompetent.

Multiple times they don't use their water hoses to put out fires. I don't know if production is going cheap on their budget, or just using a single hose would solve their problem too quickly, and they need to pad out the pointless tension and drama. Instead they try tackling blazes, including huge structural fires, with just fire-extinguishers.

Many cases the characters stand in front of the fire and bicker for a couple minutes, or they stare at the fire not knowing what to do.

In one episode, the fire-fighters ask an employee of an ice rink if they have a ladder they could use. Forgetting the fact that they're firefighters, and they have several of their own ladders back on the truck they just arrived on.

Now the actors themselves are decent. It's not their fault. They are using what they are given by the writers, directors and producers.

It's still hard to take these characters seriously when they're constantly being stupid, forgetting things like protocol and their own equipment, ignoring orders, and being a bigger danger to the public than the fire they have been sent to put out.

Wooot!!!

I absolutely love watching this tv show. While looking like just another fire fighting drama, station 19 actually covers a lot of social justice and realistic life problems both on a personal level as well as on a global or national scale. Station 19 has a lot of representation from all sorts, the major ones being racial and sexuality representation.

It show the highs and lows, of life of all people. I have yet to meet one person who hasn't been able to relate to one aspect or another when watching Station 19.

The thought that they might be cancelling this series would be a great mistake as it means so much to so many people.

enjoyed but done after 3 seasons

Had fun while watching the first few seasons. Seems season 4 onwards drama is spiralling down further and am not invested that much in the series to continue with it.

Nevertheless, with station 19 I finally watched my first firefighter show. Thanks.

Pathetic

Chicago Fire has nothing to worry about with this trash. Unreal. As a Firefighter, I'm Truly embarrassed.
