In 1994 Rwanda, a Polish woman ornithologist saves a Tutsi girl from certain death. After a few years they both revisit Africa on an emotional journey full of painful memories.
The production process took several years due to tragic circumstances. Both the film's director Krzysztof Krauze and cinematographer Krzysztof Ptak died while shooting. The movie was finally completed by co-director Joanna Kos-Krauze, who was devastated after the death of her husband.
