Currently a one-off from Girlfriends Films which failed to become a series, this vignette DVD suffers from too rigid a format, a problem that might be fixed and have the show come back to haunt us, though unlikely to replicate the 160 volumes and still going strong breadwinner for the label "Women Seeking Women".
No one signs these Girlfriends releases as director or writer, but for some unknown reason each vignette of "Make-Up Sex" begins identically with a young girl masturbating, and then having some sort of altercation with a lover. There comes an apology and it must follow as the Night the Day (Shakespeare had a knack, even more creative than the anonymous Girlfriends scripter), Sapphic sex ensues. Thus ends each segment in yawning fashion.
The young protagonists do their thing ably, if mechanically. The most sparks occur in a somewhat violent encounter between brunettes Raven Rockette and party girl Veruca James, while finally a blonde shows up in the cast (petite Odette Delacroix) in the finale paired with Kiera Winters.
Much ado about nothing.
